Variety.com. reported that NBC gave out the first series order from its pilot crop for the 2018-2019 season.

In the teaser of Sacred Games – Nawaz plays this chilling and dangerous grey shaded character, who believes himself to be the God on earth. The video shows him as a notorious drug-peddler and Saif as a tough cop. The plot travels through the underbelly of Mumbai crime, which is truly dark and edgy.

The series revolves around a contemptuous Mumbai city cop Sartaj Singh (Saif) who is tipped off on the location of crime lord Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin). As the lives of these two men collide, it exposes the trappings of a bigger game than the both of them.

Disha was interacting with media at the launch of European fashion brand ONLY's 'Denimize The World' campaign on Friday in Mumbai.

When asked Disha which are her earliest memories of wearing a denim, she said, “I remember the bell bottom ones. They used to have those embroidery in the jeans and it really used to like glittery and stuff. When I used to wear it, I used to feel I am so cool and I am like the coolest person. I was a tomboy. I used to have short hair at that time and wearing those gilry cloths. I don’t know how it used to go but I have those memories and I still cherish that because denim is very important part in anybody’s life and we all love to wear denims. I am a from a small town and I think wherever you go, to a small town or big city like Mumbai, we all wear denims in different way and style but denims are the essentials.”

Talking about ‘Denimize The World’ campaign, Disha said, “Basically the campaign is called as ‘Denimizing The World’ and we all are just trying to make sure that people know that Denim is most comfortable and stylish. I feel everyone in their part of life have used denim and they do use including me. I think it can really make you feel cool and comfortable at the same time and that’s what we are looking for through this campaign”

When asked how people should be part of denim revolution, she said, “I think just wear denims. We all wear denims but it’s just the realization that denims are very important in everybody’s life. I think the campaign is not just about cloths or outfits. It is also about getting denims into other things like a mug or small frames which is very cool. I think denims can really make you feel cool, sexy, and subtle. Formal or informal, you can pair it with anything so, I think I am on for denims for anything.

Karan Johar was present at the trailer on of first Marathi production titled 'Bucket List' on Friday. 

When asked if Karan will be looking forward to making more Marathi films he said, Dharma Production plans of working in all languages. 

"To present and produce a Marathi film was on my bucket list and we will be doing much more in future. Recently I read one more script, that I liked a lot. I want to do much more in all languages of Indian cinema. I think I want Dharma Productions to empower itself by showcasing our talent and ability in all language cinemas. We are also making the remake of Sairat. We have been tracking all kinds of cinema made in India and we hope to be a part of all that."

Amitabh is seen as the carefree 102-year old father who wants only one thing for his child is to be happy and Rishi Kapoor as the old child who lives by the self-developed rules and survives by medicines. The story starts with an introduction to each character and soon (Bachchan) Datta announces that he will send (Rishi) Babu to an old age home on account of being a stuck up old man. Babu who cannot bear the change of his bedsheet is appalled by the idea of any change in his surrounding. 

The film is a short story taking too long to end, without giving the right amount of time to bring alive the emotional fundamentals of the film. The first half mainly focus on the tasks gives by Datta and suddenly shows a change of heart after one trip around town. Even with Bachchan and Kapoor in the frame, the only thing to watch is a few genuine laughs while the most other seem forced. The story does not follow an explained timeframe but uses dialogues to give a subtext throughout the narrative. 

The predictable story goes without provoking any emotions from the audience that it aims to with the suspense after revealing Bachchan's actual purpose in the second half. For a film that talks about living a full life, Umesh Shukla's 102 Not Out is based on a trivial matter at the base of all issues.

The versatile and most accomplished singer of Bollywood Sonu Nigam has lent his mesmerized voice for a song of the soon to be released film Hope Aur Hum starring Naseeruddin Shah and Sonali Kulkarni.

After a long hiatus, Sonu has lent his vocals to the tune of Achhe Bachhe Rote Nahi picturized almost with all the main characters of the film. The song is composed by Rupert Fernandes and penned by Saurabh Dikshit. 

Sonu, as usual, is at his melodious voice to the lyrics of Achhe Bachhe Rote Nahin which is a take on life's struggles and debacles from the perspective of lead child characters in the film. One should never leave the Hope of something good to happen and live the life as it comes without despair.

Anil Kapoor recently made the announcement that Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja will tie the knot on May 8 in Mumbai in the presence of only friends and family.

Harsh Chhaya was interacting with along with Vinay Pathak to promote ‘Khajoor Pe Atke’ on Thursday in Mumbai.

When asked Harsh Chhaya whether he is feeling any pressure with the release of his debut film as a director, he said, “I am not feeling any kind of pressure with release of the film. I think whether film will work or not, it is not in our hands so, I don’t think about that much. We have made this film with honesty and integrity  and  while making film no one says that let’s waste five crores by making a film and it will be fun so, every person wants to make good film which will entertain the audience. I am really satisfied with the work of my actors and crew and now ball in audience court. We think that we have made a good film and we can hope that audience would accept it”

Talking about title of the film ‘Khajoor Pe Atke’, Harsh Chhaya said, “The story of the film is such that every character of the film has stuck somewhere in their life and they are not able to understand how to deal with it. There is famous saying that ‘Aasman se gire aur khajoor pe atke’ and the saying has comical subtext to it which goes perfectly with the storyline of the film.”

Talking about basic plot of the film actor Vinay Pathak,said, “It’s a story of family which consists of three brothers. In the film, one of the brother get seriously sick and his remaining two brothers who lives in another cities comes to see condition of their ailing brother in Mumbai with their families. I am playing younger brother and Manoj Pahwa plays elder brother in the film. This film is based on real circumstances but the incidents in the film are really funny so, I think common people would be able to connect with the film’s story”

When asked Harsh Chhaya from where he has taken inspiration to make this film, he said, “We have taken inspiration for this film from everyday’s life. The situations which we have shown in the film are inspired by incidents which took place in my house and my friend’s house so, that’s how I developed story of this film.”

Late actress Sridevi received the award for her last film MOM where she played a mother who is out to avenge the rape of her daughter. Producer husband Boney Kapoor along with daughter Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor received the award on actress behalf and Anil Kapoor is proud.

Talking about making process of ‘Raat Kamaal Hai, Guru Randhawa said, “It was nice experience for me and it was new thing for me because I haven’t sung a proper club song earlier. For this song, I gone little bit in Tulsi’s zone and she came into my zone. Khushali also has acted really well in the song. I think this song is different as compared to my earlier songs because in this song, I have experimented with Hindi. I think style of singing and composition of this song is also new for me and I think with success of this song our Raat (Night) and Din (Day) has become really good.”

Talking about response from the audience to ‘Raat Kamaal Hai’ song, Guru Randhawa said, “We decided to come together because Tulsi Kumar, Khushali Kumar and I liked this song. We are getting extremely positive response for our song and I think that’s the important thing. When audience listens to your songs and gives you good feedback is an amazing feeling to have.”

Khushali Kumar sister of Bhushan Kumar and Tulasi Kumar originally belongs to fashion designing field but in ‘Raat Kammal Hai’, she has featured with Guru Randhawa, talking her transition from fashion designer to actor, she said, “I think both fields are related with creativity. I am feeling really good because I am still doing my designing. I have designed my own cloths for this song so, it’s very nice plus, acting has always been my passion. I used to act in my school days as a part of extra-curricular activities so, now also I am living my dream by doing this video so it was a great experience for me.”

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta took the liberty of audience's awareness and dived right into the action knowing viewers are well versed who the story is about.

The film starts in 1994 when Rajkummar starring as Omar befriends, a Czech, two Brits, and an American tourist and then abducts them under false pretenses of Rohit Verma. When arrested Omar begins the tail of his origin without a warning. The film then jumps back in time a few times making it harder for the audience to understand the young lad's story. The film then quickly passes through all the Al-Qaeda training in Afghanistan and ISI training in his flashbacks that stems from his need to help his Muslim brothers and sisters in Bosnia. 

The constant use of real feed from the actual documentary binds the story well with reality reminding us of the horrific acts actually occurred in life. While the film fails to dive into the emotional transformation that Omar's shows form the British LSE Student to the militant, Rajkummar expresses the psychotic behavior well enough to drag the audience through the timeline.

Ranveer was interacting with media as he unveiled Carrera eyewear’s #DriveYourStory campaign and premiere of short film based on his life journey on Wednesday in Mumbai.

Talking about his upcoming films in detail, Ranveer said, “Simmba’ is my first collaboration with Rohit Shetty which I know people are really excited about and me more than anyone to be diving into the masala genre with king of the genre. It is an incredible opportunity that I am extremely exciting to be commencing principal shooting in about a month’s time. I will start prep for that film from tomorrow. Hopefully wearing aviators of Carrera throughout the film. Mr.Rohit Shetty is very keen that I have big muscles in the film. I have just completed shooting of ‘Gully Boy’. ‘Gully Boy’ is very special story, one that I am closely attached to. It’s set against the backdrop of flourishing desi hip hop scene coming out of Bombay (Mumbai). It is the story which represents Mumbai in its true sense so, that being my home town, born & raised, these are my people, this is my language and this is the story I am really attached to. It’s an underdog story about a kid who broke through from great adversity in life to make it as a recording artist.”

When Mr. Kabir Khan first came to me with that film, I said finally somebody is making that film but when he told me the story, I realized what an insane underdog story it is. A bunch of ragtag underdogs that nobody believed in who went on to fight against the odds, be brave and had the ultimate triumph so, a story that extremely significant in our history as a nation and one definitely that shaped sports and cricket what it is today and it is something that I am very proud to be part of so, I am very excited about my upcoming slate and I really hope audience will enjoy all of those films.”

In an earlier interview, director Sudip Bandhopadhyay talked about ‘Hoe Aur Hum’, saying that, “It is a simple family film. I took three generations to tell the story. In a family, every individual has their own story to tell. Together we build one story, but simultaneously, every character has their own problems. I thought that was an interesting approach to narrate a story: a kid, an old man and a young man.”

The big push came along from his daughter, though. He reveals, “My nine-year-old daughter asked me if I was going to direct a film. When I said yes, she replied back with something that surprised me. She said, ‘Papa, I’ll never be able to watch the film you make because I don’t think it will be age appropriate.’ That’s when it struck me that I should be making a film that can be watched by everyone between the age of eight and 80.”

Sudip wrote the central character of his film with Naseeruddin Shah in mind. In fact, the film and its characters are drawn from his own life experiences. He says, “I was studying in Kolkata when I first met an old uncle who used to operate a box camera machine that used to enlarge copies in a most intensive and unusual mechanical process. This old uncle and his little stories inspired Naseer saab’s character in the film. People will like the sweetness and simplicity of my film.”

Directed by Ace Ad filmmaker, Sudip Bandyopadhyay Hope Aur Hum is the reminiscent tale of a family in Mumbai who’s lives are explored through an endearing cinematic journey. It is presented by Thumbnail Pictures and produced by Samira Bandyopadhyay,

Anurag Kashyap was interacting with media at the trailer launch ‘Bhavesh Joshi Superhero’ along with Harshvardhan Kapoor, Vikramaditya Motwane and Madhu Mantena on Wednesday in Mumbai.

‘Bhavesh Joshi Superhero’ revolves around fight against corruption, so when asked Anurag his take on corruption in the country, he said, “I think Vikram’s (Vikramditya Motwane) take on corruption is in the film. This film comes from very personal experience of Vikram. There is whole portion in the first half of the film that’s exactly how it happened but Vikram will never admit to it in public and audiences have to figure it out themselves but that was the genesis of the film.”

When asked Vikramaditya what prompted him to make ‘Bhavesh Joshi Superhero’, he said, “I am working on this script since 2010-11 and Anurag has been part process since then. I think the frustration is being Indian citizen at some point of time drives you towards certain thoughts and certain needs so, the seed started from the country we living in. We all love our country but let’s be honest that there are problems which we all want to solve and sometimes, vigilante isn’t the right thing is to do but you feel to slap people so, this thought starts from there but that’s not the film. We all big fan of graphic novels, superheroes who fights against injustice so, it comes from deep rooted want for justice and those kind of things. This film is about our protest against corruption and against certain part of the system that we feel doesn’t work “

Generally, superhero film has typical names like ‘Superman’ Spider-Man’ but Vikramditya Motwane named his film as ‘Bhavesh Joshi’ which is very common name so, when asked Vikramditya what’s the reason to name it as ‘Bhavesh Joshi’, he said, “There was friend of mine in school whose name of Bhavesh Joshi and he was extremely naughty and we always used to call him by his full name as Bhavesh Joshi and that name got stuck in my head. I know ‘Bhavesh Joshi’ is very common title for a film and that’s the whole point because its story about common man who is trying to do something bigger to deliver justice and that’s the whole motive to name it so common so that, it appeals to everybody”

When asked why we have made fewer films on vigilante as compared to Hollywood, Vikramditya said, “I think we are vigilante’s forever. In 1970s Mr. Bachchan (Amitabh Bachchan) played vigilante in so many of his films. We have ‘Mr. India’ in which Anil Kapoor played sort of vigilante. I just think we are not used to idea of masked vigilante because our heroes themselves can do lot work that a superheroes does. In a sense, ‘Bhavesh Joshi’ is a kind of throwback to films which we made in 1970s.”

Veteran actor Rajkummar Rao and Nargis Fakhri are all set to be seen in their first movie together 5 Weddings. The film is helmed by Indo-American director Namrata Singh Gujral.

On the poster, Rajkummar is seen in cop avatar while Nargis plays the role of a journalist, who covers weddings in India. They both are seen posing against the backdrop of a wedding destination.

Madhuri dropped a new poster for Bucket List on social media. She looks beautiful in a green-pink saree in the Marathi Mulgi avatar. She is whistling on the poster and has a cute expression on her face.

After a decade Bollywood actor Sudhanshu Pandey released his debut as a solo singer. Yes, you read that right. Sudhanshu Pandey, who made a thumping entry into music with India’s first boy band, A Band of Boys, the model-turned-actor, who will be seen playing an evil scientist in Rajinikanth’s much-awaited 2.0 has just released his first ever solo single “Teri Adaa”. Interestingly, he has not only acted in the video but has also produced it (Rawstalk Productions Pvt Ltd).

Touted to be one of the most ‘stylish’ music videos, Sudhanshu will be seen playing a mafia don in the single “Teri Adaa” which has been directed by Mehul Gadani.“I have partly written the lyrics along with Ravi Singhal. Ravi is also the composer of the song,” said Sudhanshu, who stole the hearts of his fans with his killer look & boyish charm.

When asked about his musical journey, Sudhanshu becomes nostalgic and takes a walk down memory lane. “I came to Mumbai from Nainital. I knew no one in Mumbai. But God showed me the way. I started doing TV commercials and print ads. I did a few ads, which became iconic. I did ads with Shashi Kapur’s son Kunal Kapoor, who is one of the best-known faces in the advertisement world. However, destiny had some other plans for me and I landed up being a part of country’s first ever boy band, A Band of Boys. Before I knew I was singing with the boys and traveling the globe. We did innumerable shows and the songs such as Gori and Meri Neend became iconic hits. Even today they are the biggest hits,” said Sudhanshu, who was one of the protagonists in Anil Kapoor’s hit TV series 24 (season 2).

Akshay was present as the brand ambassador of New India Conclave on Tuesday evening along with Maharashtra’s chief minister Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai. New India Conclave aims at unearthing and recognizing rural achievers of the country.

During interacting with all the felicitated farmers at the New India Conclave Akshaya mentioned he would like to make a film in a farmer's life. 

When asked what kinda of issues and solution will this movie address Akshay said, “I will be talking to people whom we have felicitated here and so many other people about it. I am looking for a nice subject which I can make and talk about the solution. When I was interacting with one of the rural achievers here, I loved his concept of planting 111 trees whenever a girl is born in a village. 

I think if we can implement this concept in entire country then there will be no problem of lack of rain, increasing pollution and decreasing number of girl child so, I am looking for different kind of things which I can compile in a film but I think it’s very hard way to make a story out of it which is entertaining at the same time worth of giving a social message. It’s not an easy job to do that so,  I am still waiting for the right subject but I already got the lovely title of the film called ‘Lakhpati Kisan’”

Actor and philanthropist Akshay Kumar shared his feeling after becoming the brand ambassador of ‘New India Conclave’, he said, “I am thankful and honored being the brand ambassador of ‘New India Conclave’. I hope they will make more use of me and it’s just not a photograph on campaign kind of thing. If I can contribute to this initiative that will be my honor. My father belongs from a village and I am sure most of our forefather’s belonged to a village from where we get our culture and tradition. 

So, I think village in like a father and city is a son of a village so, it’s a responsibility of a son to take care of a father, therefore, I have been associated with this cause because I want to serve father.”
