The news was viral that popular comic star Sunil Grover has bagged a pivotal role in the megaproject, Bharat, which stars Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra in the lead but there was no confirmation, until now.

Filmmaker Ali Abbas just confirmed the news on his social media account. He wrote, “Welcome @WhoSunilGrover to #Bharat :)”

Actor-Comedian Sunil Grover is definitely going places, as the actor has signed two big projects recently. He is part of Vishal Bhardwaj’s Chhuriyaan, in which he will be seen as a leading man alongside Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan.

And now Bharat, the comedian is now set to play Salman Khan’s friend in the film, which went on floors recently. The film is an official adaptation of 2014 South Korean film, Ode to My Father.

After Mirzya, Harshvardhan Kapoor is now ready for his second movie outing titled Bhavesh Joshi Superhero directed by Vikramaditya Motwane.

In the teaser, Harsh is shown as a common man who turns into a superhero to fight against injustice in the city. He trains hard and learns to be a superhero rather than being born one, which is an interesting premise!

The movie also stars Nishikant Kamat and Priyanshu Painyuli. The film marks the acting debut of Shreyah Sabharwal. The film is produced by Eros International, Reliance Entertainment, Vikas Bahl, Madhu Mantena & Anurag Kashyap. It is slated to release on May 25, 2018.

Swedish DJ Avicii passed away at the age of 28 on Friday and Actress Sonam Kapoor expressed her grief on social media.

Sonam Kapoor shared on her social media platform about Aviccii, she wrote, “listening to @Avicii all morning. Music is something that gets us through everything good bad or ugly. And People who make it are truly blessed. He was a genius. #RIPAvicci your music was uplifting and we will all feel your loss.

Avicii had in the past suffered acute pancreatitis due to excessive drinking. His death comes just days after he was nominated for a Billboard Music Award.

Swedish DJ Avicii’s representative said in a statement: "It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given"

Avicii was one of the most successful touring DJs in the industry, working with artists including Madonna. He had a crossover pop hit in 2013 with "Wake Me Up."

Karan Singh Grover was interacting with media at Dada Saheb Phalke International Film Festival where he received ‘Style Influencer of the Year Award’ on Friday in Mumbai.

Talking about his upcoming project ‘3 Dev’ which was scheduled to release on 11^th May,  Karan said, “3 Dev should be releasing on the 25th May. It’s been in the pipeline for very long time which has been stuck for some time but we say everything happens in divine right timing so this shall also be. The trailer of the film should be launch on 27th April so, hoping that everyone likes it”

Dhadak is a romantic drama film directed by Shashank Khaitan and features debutants, Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles. The film is produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios. The film is a remake of 2016 Marathi language film Sairat.

Ishaan Khattar has already made his debut with Majid Majidi helmer “Beyond The Clouds” but “Dhadak” would mark his first commercial Bollywood drama film.

I really tried to work hard whether it was on my physicality, action, acting or dancing so, I am hoping people would appreciate my work and the film as well.

Talking about his experience working with Salman Khan, Anil Kappor and Bobby Deol in ‘Race 3’ Saqib said, “Working with Salman (Khan) bhai has been great experience. He is one my most favorite actor but besides him, there is Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in the film with whom I really enjoyed working with so in fact, working in ‘Race 3’ felt like working in a family.”

Talking about positive response to ‘Nanu Ki Jaanu’, Abhay said, “It’s a positive sign for sure. Word of mouth matters and I feel any positive feedback is definitely considered as plus for a film to survive or to do better.”

When asked Abhay what could be the connecting point between his film and the audience, he said, “It is very difficult for me to answer that. As a filmmaker, we always try to please the audience through story of the film and performances in it so I can’t figure out what that particular thing which have connected with audience. Filmmaking is a team effort and hopefully they must have liked everybody work who are involved in the film.”

Talking about his experience working with Manu Rish Chadha, he said, “We have worked together in ‘Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye’ and ‘Ek Chalis Ki Last Local’ and ‘The Odds’ so yes, I have good working relationship with Manu. I think he is really talented actor and writer as well.”

Talking about his upcoming projects, Abhay said, “Now I have got four other films to release this year which includes ‘JL 50’, ‘The Field’, ‘The Odds’ and Tamil film ‘Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadha’.

Talking about selling point of the film, director Faraz Haider said, “In this film, Abhay has danced really well in this film which audience hasn’t seen him doing earlier. He has performed really well in the film. Manu (Rishi Chadha) bhai has written amazing story of the film which has element of humour and horror and we have tried to give certain message through the film. The film has super-natural concept but we have try to keep it as real as possible which I feel will connect with the audience.”

Talking about her experience working in ‘Nanu Ki Jaanu’, Patralekhha said, “I just thought that it’s a different script and it is really funny and I did only drama in my earlier films so it was an opportunity that I would do something different by featuring in horror comedy. Whenever art director Nitin Desai and maverick director Ashutosh Gowariker have come together they have created magic on the celluloid. The talented duo had stunned the audience with the mesmerizing recreation of the Agra Fort in Gowariker's Jodhaa Akbar and now they are all set to charm us yet again by constructing the majestic Shaniwar Wada for Panipat.

The Peshwa's historical Shaniwar Wada is of great importance to the story of Panipat and hence the duo have taken up the task to recreate the splendor of the Wada at N.D Studios. The Wada will be built in the actual scale and grandeur of the real Shaniwar Wada.

The bricks for the massive structure have been laid on the auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya and the construction for the Wada began with a pooja on Wednesday morning by Ashutosh Gowariker, Sunita Gowariker, and Nitin Desai along with crew members.

The film is based on the Third Battle of Panipat, which is one of the most epic battles in the history of India that took place on 14 January 1761 at Panipat. The battle was fought between the northern expeditionary force of the Maratha Empire and invading forces of the King of Afghanistan, Ahmad Shah Abdali, supported by two Indian allies—the Rohilla Afghans of the Doab, and Shuja-ud-Daula, the Nawab of Awadh.

Rishi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan were seen at the song launch of their forthcoming film, '102 Not Out' on Thursday. 

When asked if they two veteran actor had a healthy rivalry between to the two which pushed them to such heights int heir career, Rishi Kapoor said, " I was always looked after by him in the film. I never had a problem with him in the film. There was also a Vinod Khana in the film, we had a problem with him in the early stages. We had a  Shatrughan Sinha we had a problem with in because he took away the girl, but we never trespassed that tertiary. He has been my best friend, big brother and now even my father in a film. So we never had any rivalry. We just worked to do our best."

Adding further Big B said, "The only rivalry that we profess to have is to make sure the film does well. It doesn't matter who is doing better than you or worse than you.  I think the end result of the film is what matters the most."

The film will showcase Shah Rukh in a dwarf avatar and a small glimpse of it was given when the makers released the film's first look and teaser.

This would be the fourth outing of Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra after Salaam-E-Ishq, God Tussi Great Ho, and Mujhe Shaadi Karogi. The upcoming Bharat is the Indian adaptation of the Korean movie, Ode to My Father and is slated for an Eid 2019 release.

Considered as India's animation pioneer and avant-garde filmmaker, Bhimsain is one of the pioneers of parallel cinema movement in India of the 70s.

Born in Multan (now Pakistan) in 1936, Bhimsain moved to Lucknow after the partition. Belonging to the family of artists, he gravitated to arts and music early, studying fine arts and learning classical music which held him in good stead throughout his life. In 1961, Bhimsain moved to Mumbai after he secured a job at the monolith Films Division as background-painter. It is here that he learned the art and craft of animation film-making.

In 1971, he became independent. His first animated short film "The Climb" won him the prestigious "Silver Hugo award" at the Chicago Film Festival. He christened his company Climb Films (now Climb Media) after the film's success. Since then there has been no looking back. "Ek Anek Ekta" (1974) is considered India's most popular animation short film.

This was followed by path-breaking feature films "Gharaonda" (1977) & "Dooriyaan" (1979) and many TV series and documentaries bringing him accolades and awards galore.

Bhimsain has an unprecedented 16 President's National awards, several International awards and lifetime contribution awards by leading institutes and organizations.

The story of the film revolves around an Item family, who on hearing news that one family member in Mumbai, Devendar, may pass off anytime soon, his siblings – Jeetendar, Ravindar and Lalita, rush down to be with him and his family for support, along with their families from across the country.

However when the patient neither improves nor passes away, everyone’s life is in a state of flux as they are unable to enjoy being in Mumbai, nor are they able to go back to their lives in their own towns and homes.

They are stuck in the flux of wanting the status of their loved one to change, one-way or the other with ancestral property looming in the backdrop.

The film is a tongue-in-cheek look at what a typical family goes through when on the outside one is supposed to behave politically correct but from the inside, each one is desperately frustrated and restless due to the tormenting uncertainty.

Talking about his next epic venture, Karan Johar expressed that the movie has been an emotional journey for him.

He said, “KALANK has been an emotional journey for me! A germ of an idea that I had nearly 15 years ago...a film that was in a pre production stage helmed by my father...am now proud to Pass it onto the extremely capable and visionary hands of our director Abhishek Varman! Alia Bhatt shared the first look poster on her social media account. She wrote, “KALANK- an EPIC DRAMA! So so sooo excited to be working with these phenomenal beautiful actors!!! Varun Dhawan, who has given many hits with Alia Bhatt, also shared his excitement on social media. He wrote, “KALANK- an EPIC DRAMA! Finally, Sonakshi Sinha also added that she is proud of the film. Jackie Shroff was interacting with media at launch of Indo-Iranian film titled ‘The Devil’s Daughter’ along with producer Lucky Nadiadwla Morani on Tuesday in Mumbai.

Asifa Bano, an 8 year old girl abducted, raped and murdered in Rasana village near Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir in January 2018. Since then there has been nationwide uproar on this case, reacting on that horrific incident, Shroff said, “It’s unfortunate that I am getting to hear such news in my lifetime”.

Talking about Indo-Iranian collaboration’ The Devil’s Daughter’, Shroff said, “I want every country of the world should collaborate with each other and do cultural exchange, grow friendship & love between them. It’s a good thing that Lucky Nadiadwala Morani gave me opportunity to be a devil in this film which I haven’t played earlier in my career. Makers of this film has done favor on me by casting me in Indo-Iranian project”

Talking about success of his son Tiger Shroff’s latest release ‘Baghi 2’, Shroff said, “I want to thank audience for appreciating movie of my son and for the first time, Tiger told me that he slept well in the night in 4 four years since he started acting and apart from that what should I express if your son’s movie does well? It’s just overwhelming”

Jackie Shroff has earlier worked in 11 languages film’s across India and now he is working in Indo-Iranian project so when asked Shroff will he do a hollywood film in future, he said, “I don’t know.. if I get a good role to act in Hollywood film then I will definitely do it but it shouldn’t be blink and gone kind of a role”

Bhavesh Joshi is an upcoming superhero film, written and directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, under the banner of Phantom Films. Actor Harshvardhan Kapoor plays the lead role in the film. The story of the film is about a vigilante in urban setting.

Vikram announced the project in 2013 and actor Imran Khan was supposed to play the lead role. Later, he got replaced by Sidharth Malhotra. Last year, however, the filmmaker said that the project had to  be shelved.

But the project eventually went to Harshvardhan, who plays the role of Gujarati boy blessed with superpowers. The movie also stars Nishikant Kamat and Priyanshu Painyuli. The film marks the acting debut of Shreyah Sabharwal.

Sanjay Dutt confirmed the film on his Twitter handle. The actor shared the poster of the film, which he captioned, “#KALANK, an epic drama directed by @abhivarman - Releasing April 19th, 2019.

Director Abhishek Varman who helmed 2 States is all set to direct his next film, Kalank. The epic drama set in the 1940s the film which was incepted 15 years ago by Karan Johar and his dad Yash Johar has found its way and will be now released on 19th April 2018.

This film also marks the collaboration of Fox Star Studios, Dharma Productions and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment - the 3 best producers of this time.

Abhishek shared candid pictures from the shoot on Instagram along with a nostalgic and heartfelt message about the Journey and his team.

Himansh Kohli was interacting with media at the song launch of ‘Oh Humsafar’ along with Neha Kakkar, Tony Kakkar and Manoj Muntashir on Tuesday in Mumbai.

Talking about chemistry with Neha Kakkar in ‘Oh Humsafar’ song, Himansh said, “Neha Kakkar’s magic is such that whenever she comes everybody feels themselves as SRK (Shah Rukh Khan) so I didn’t have to do much effort for that. Tony Kakkar has composed such beautiful song and Manoj Muntashir has nicely written lyrics of it so it was easy task for me. I just had to look at Neha and express my feeling of heart. I am huge fan of Neha Kakkar so I want to thank Bhushan Kumar for giving me opportunity to feature in song.  We have shot this song at really nice locations so I feel it’s an amalgamation of every good thing”

There is sad ending to ‘Oh Humsafar’ song so when asked Neha reason of it, she said, I think mostly love stories are incomplete so we make films and videos like that as well from which people can relate themselves. We have shown love in the video and we have also shown sadness when couple gets separated with each other.”

Sources disclosed the actress was met with the director to discuss and finalize a role in his upcoming film, which is in pre-production mode. 

Apart from Huma, other actresses Bhumi Pednekar and Malika Sherawat were also seen exiting the same restaurant.

Taapsee, who has finished shooting for the film, on Tuesday shared a photograph of herself along with director Kashyap.

The caption tweet read, "There are some directors who guide you through and some who exuberate such energy that you just cannot help but be your best, give your best and the best happens. You are the latter mister Anurag Kashyap, you are the wind beneath Rumi's wings. Get well soon... because you have to fight with me more." 

The film, presented by Aanand L. Rai, also stars Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan who is currently shooting in Kashmir.

The film directed by Anurag Kashyap will have music given by Amit Trivedi.
