#SonamKapoor believes that Swedish #DJAvicii was a genius and people who make music are truly blessed!
Swedish DJ Avicii passed away at the age of 28 on Friday and Actress Sonam Kapoor expressed her grief on social media.
Sonam Kapoor shared on her social media platform about Aviccii, she wrote, “listening to @Avicii all morning. Music is something that gets us through everything good bad or ugly. And People who make it are truly blessed. He was a genius. #RIPAvicci your music was uplifting and we will all feel your loss.
Avicii had in the past suffered acute pancreatitis due to excessive drinking. His death comes just days after he was nominated for a Billboard Music Award.
Swedish DJ Avicii’s representative said in a statement: "It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given"
Avicii was one of the most successful touring DJs in the industry, working with artists including Madonna. He had a crossover pop hit in 2013 with "Wake Me Up."
On the work front, Sonam Kapoor has completed work on Shashanka Ghosh's Veere Di Wedding, a romantic comedy co-starring Kareena Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania about four girls who embark on a road trip.
She is also shooting for “Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga” co-starring her father and Juhi Chawla, which is scheduled for release later in 2018.
She has also committed to star as the titular protagonist in Abhishek Sharma's film adaptation of Anuja Chauhan's novel The Zoya Factor.
