#TheDubaiParksandResorts, an integrated theme park complex, will open its gates to the public on October 31, allowing guests to experience nearly 100 rides and attractions across four parks, including a destination dedicated to Bollywood too, officials said.

Annual passes to the destination are currently on sale, while daily passes will be announced soon.

The destination will comprise of three theme parks -- Bollywood Parks Dubai, MOTIONGATE Dubai, and LEGOLAND Dubai, together with LEGOLAND Water Park. It will also include Riverland Dubai, a themed retail, dining, and entertainment experience, along with the Lapita Hotel, a Polynesian-themed family resort.

“This has been a long-time coming and I can't say enough about how excited we are to welcome our guests to the destination to Experience Amazing,” Raed Kajoor Al Nuaimi, CEO, Dubai Parks and Resorts, said in a statement.

Singer #ZaynMalik is set to collaborate with Italian luxury fashion designer #GiuseppeZanotti on a new footwear range.

Leading e-tailer Flipkart's fashion and lifestyle products' subsidiary #Myntra on Friday announced that it has acquired a majority stake in #HRX, the active lifestyle brand co-owned by Bollywood actor #HrithikRoshan and Exceed Entertainment.

This move is a bid to further strengthen Myntra's private brands business.

HRX, one of the first home grown Indian active lifestyle brands, was incepted in 2012 and was exclusively licensed to Myntra in 2013. Since then, HRX has been one of the top selling brands on Myntra.

This strategic investment is a first of its kind in the industry, wherein a celebrity incubated brand has aligned with the country's leading e-fashion retailer in an equity model, read a statement. 

The move will enable the brand to leverage certain benefits exclusive to Myntra's in-house brands, leveraging technology to provide better consumer experience and access to data on consumer preferences. 

As many as 92 designers, including #RituKumar, #RajeshPratapSingh and #WendellRodricks, will participate in the forthcoming Lakme Fashion Week #LFW Winter/Festive 2016.

Kolkata-based designer Kallol Datta will showcase a collection at the Sustainable Fashion and Indian Textiles Day during the fashion week, which will conclude on August 28, a statement said.

Directed by internationally acclaimed filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, the film marks debut of Pooja Hegde and is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Sunita Gowariker. 

The film brings an epic adventure-romance story on the silver screen. It is set in the city of Mohenjo Daro in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation which dates back to 2,600 BC.

#AbhishekJawkar, the director of the film #MissingonaWeekend, is not worried about his film clashing with the Tiger Shroff-Jacqueline Fernandez starrer "A Flying Jatt" as he feels that the genres are completely opposite and that the film has got the required number of screens.

Abhishek Jawkar told on Friday, "We are not worried about "A Flying Jatt". Frankly speaking, it is not even a clash. Their film is obviously big and they will get the maximum number of screens, but we were never targeting a big number of screens anyway. In fact, the number of screens we were looking for, we have got that and we are extremely happy and satisfied with that."

He added, "Their film is targeting the kids and is a family film, and our film is completely opposite and being a suspense thriller, we were always targeting the youth as they love suspense thrillers. Not just the youth, there is a loyal fan base for suspense thrillers among all adults, so we are extremely optimistic about them loving our film as it is after a long time that such a suspense thriller has come on screen."

The Fashion Design Council of India #FDCI has collaborated with the Development Commissioner (DC) #Handlooms to reinvent indigenous crafts executed by handloom weavers through effective skill development.

The Ministry of Textiles, headed by Textiles Minister Smriti Irani, announced a revival strategy for the handloom industry on National Handloom Day, observed on August 7.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will facilitate designer intervention at selected Weavers Service Centers across India was also signed between Alok Kumar, Development Commissioner Handlooms, and FDCI President Sunil Sethi, read a statement. 

Researchers have found evidence that a natural #citrusfruit extract can inhibit the growth of painful #kidneystones and even dissolve the crystals.

The compound hydroxycitrate (HCA) can dissolve calcium oxalate crystals, the most common component of human kidney stones, said the study that prepares the groundwork to design an effective drug for the painful condition.

"HCA shows promise as a potential therapy to prevent kidney stones," the researchers wrote in the study published onlne in the journal Nature. 

The findings are the result of a combination of experimental studies, computational studies and human studies, said lead author of the study Jeffrey Rimer, Associate Professor of at the University of Houston in the US.

The makers of the film are yet to finalise the venues in the three cities where Dhoni will launch the much-awaited trailer.

Megastar #AmitabhBachchan feels there are a lot of people who find him falsely modest, but he makes no bones about it saying that even though there are new faces in his upcoming film #Pink, they will catch the audience's attention with their "exceptional" work.

"As an actor, I have been in this line for 45 years. Most of them (actors in 'Pink') are new faces in this film and you have not seen them before. But once you see the film, you will not see me you will only see them," the 73-year-old said at the film's trailer launch here.

At the trailer launch of "Pink", Amitabh, asked about the status of "Shoebite", quipped: "He (Sircar) is still cutting the shoes" but Sircar said: "When a film does not release, it is very saddening and you feel really bad for it. But we have moved on. 

"We are making films and we are still trying if something can happen but I think that I am repaying back Mr. Bachchan with 'Piku' or even 'Pink' as we could not do that film and that film could not release. So this is my debt that I am repaying him."

Asked about comparisons with "Rockstar". Riteish said: "I'm a big Ranbir Kapoor fan; I really like his work. I think it will be unfair to compare the two films. When you'll see the film and the character, you'll see that both are different characters, so there is no parallel that you can draw. It is like Shah Rukh Khan in a romantic role and Ranbir Kapoor in a romantic role."

While in terms of looks, there is a similarly with the long locks both actors sport, "Rockstar" was more of a coming-of-age musical journey of Ranbir's character, who performs in concerts while Riteish's character is gifted with the talent of playing Banjo and plays it at street events. While the former was an out-and-out emotional love story, this one has a bit of comedy also in it.

Present at the launch of a smart-shirt for the fashion brand Arrow, during an interview, Ayushmann was asked who he would gift a smart T-shirt that can actually rip your muscles by the press of one chip?, he said, "That is for me. I don't get a character in any film where I have to show my muscles; I get those realistic films. 'Vicky Donor', 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha', where there is no need to show muscles."

Ayushmann also did not get the chance to show muscles in films such as "Nautanki Saala" or "Hawaizaada" and it also seems that he won't get it in his upcoming films like "Manmarziyan" and "Meri Pyaari Bindu". The “Fantasy” singer and her billionaire fiance are currently vacationing in Italy, but while the businessman owns and is staying on the Arctic P, the seventh largest privately-owned vessel in the world, Carey has a chartered a 192 ft capri, a luxury liner which has 16 members of crew, including a private chef, reports etonline.com.

"It is important to have his-and-hers everything,” Carey said.
