Shahid Kapoor interacted with media at the trailer launch of the forthcoming film, 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' on Friday.

Shahid was present at the trailer long with director Shree Narayan Singh, producer Bhushan Kumar and co actors Divyendu Sharma and Shraddha Kapoor.  he also talked about Yami's absence and said, "She plays avery important role in the film and we surely miss having her here with us."

Shahid's younger brother Ishaan had a success party for the success of his film Dhadak, when asked why Shahid was missing from film promotions and the party he said, "Today in the morning I texted him after seeing photos of the success party. I wrote, 'thanks for letting me know. Then he said, 'No bro I was not sure if i want to call anybody' (laughs). But having said that Ishaan is such a good actor that he does not need my support. He will do just fine without me."

Talking about his co stars Divyendu Sharma who plays the friend, Shahid said, "I think he is the lead hero of the film because everything that happens is because of him."

When asked about Yami's missing presence he informed that the actress has been sick and "She plays a very important role in the film and we surely miss having her here with us."

The film's trailer showed the film is based in Uttarakhand and uses a very regional dialect different from Hindi when asked how they prepared for it Shahid said, "We are all very aware of the dialect and we did a lot of readings with each other. It was very difficult to get hold of it. The thing about this language you say everything in the opposite order. It took a lot of time for us to learn it but I think that is the best thing of the film. It makes the film fresh and relatable."

The song features the entire ensemble, which includes Jassie Gill, Sonakshi Sinha, Jimmy Shergill and Piyush Mishra. The video gives us a little sneak peek into the storyline, it looks like that entire ensemble is trying to run away from Chinese gangs and ends up in some disco.

Team Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi pays homage to Chin Chin Chu, with a fun and colourful performance featuring Chinese fans, oriental dancers and lots of drama along with Sonakshi and Jassie lending their voice to this song. and music of the song is given by Sohail Sen. Lyrics of 'Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi' song 'Chin Chin Chu' are written by Mudassar Aziz.

The trailer starts off with the comedy feel what we would expect of a Shahid Kapoor film but it soon takes a dark turn when Shahid friend dies after being scammed by the electric company. Shahid who plays a lawyer is seen trying to write the wrong with support of love interest Shraddha Kapoor. Yami Gautam will be seen as a lawyer defending the company.

The film is helmed by Shree Narayan Singh and this one is lot better and relatable than his last outing “Toilet Ek Prem Katha”. The issue of electricity bills, shortage and callous outlook of power companies toward general public has been bought to forefront via this social drama, Batti Gul Meter Chalu.

Shahid Kapoor plays this careless and corrupt lawyer, who would do anything for a quick buck, but when his friend commits suicide due to electricity bill, which is 5.5 millions. The actor goes all out to avenge his friends’ death and call out the mess-ups by companies in court case.

Yami Gautam plays this high-end lawyer, who is defending the power companies and bubbly Shraddha Kapoor plays the role of Shahid’s girlfriend in the film. The tone of the film is great and more relatable.

Janhvi Kapoor interacted with media after the success party of her debut film Dhadak on Friday.

Janhvi when asked about her upcoming film annoucened with Karan Johar said, "I am still in shock about Takht, It hasn't sunk in yet, It is a big deal for me and I am so eternally grateful. I am feeling blessed that Karan has allowed me to be part of this journey. I am so overwhelmed and excited. I just want to contain myself and work quietly and hopefully do a good job."

Kartik Aaryan who is super active on social media has been sharing some pictures from Budapest in the past couple of days. Taking a leaf from Heath Ledger's The Joker from Batman, Sumeet Kant Kaul etched out the nuances of his larger-than-life character of Bali, a menacing character in Pakhi. “I began to live the character of Bali and as a method actor I used to imagine this character being equivalent to 100 Ravans. Bali believed that Dark Forces were protecting him and he used to think that he was invisible. I used to live in that zone, live those emotions and bring out the energy that I radiate onscreen.”

When asked what makes his social songs as successful as bollywood songs he said, "Usually when you look at songs that feature social messages they are bland but I added melodies to them. If you listen to by first song 'Ho Halla' or any of my recent songs they all are just like feature film songs. People listen to the songs because of the tunes in them. Also the lyrics I use are very basic so that people can recall them easily. This is why my social songs get good response. I am happy to see that people are listening and appreciating social songs now. 

And the biggest thing is that actually rap songs are about presenting a topic or an issue and not about alcohol and girls like they are made nowadays in Bollywood. So that's what I am doing, changing the way rap songs are made and accepted in India."

Manmarziyan will see Bachchan return to the big screen after a gap of two years as he was last seen in the 2016 rom-com 'Housefull 3'.

Preity Zinta is all set to make a comeback on the big screen with Bhaiaji Superhit, which is directed by Neerraj Pathak, also starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel.

The film is produced by Chirag Mahendra Dhariwal. The film also stars Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Mishra and Shreyas Talpade in pivotal roles. It is slated to release on October 19, 2018.

Priyanka who is also a co producer to the project took to social media sharing her excitement on Wednesday.

The film, which is based on a true life story, evolves around Aisha Chaudhary, who became a motivational speaker after being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 13. 

Priyanka earlier in a statement said "I look forward to diving into this film…It's very special to me. As soon I read it, I knew I had to be a part of telling this story."

Ekta interacted with media along side co producer Imtiaz Ali, director Sajid Ali and the film's cast at the trailer launch of her upcoming film 'Laila Majnu' on Tuesday.

When talking about casting newcomers in the film Ekta said, she does not want to burden the cast. "Many films have been released with star kids but these don't have that burden on them. People should like the film that is good enough. It may not be the biggest hit of the year but it is the most satisfying film I have made"

The Sky Is Pink is reportedly based on the life of late motivational speaker and author Aisha Chaudhary, who was born with immunodeficiency disorder. The film goes on floors today!

Farhan and Priyanka have earlier co-starred in Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do, and now will soon be seen in Margarita, With A Straw director Shonali Bose's The Sky Is Pink.

Superstar Akshay Kumar dropped the song on his social media profile. The maker dropped the trailer of Loveratri yesterday. The film marks the debut of Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain in Bollywood and the film is directed by Abhiraj Minawala.

Varun Dhawan took to his social media profile and praised the debutantes along with best wishes for the film.
