#Akshay is currently gearing up for the release of his forthcoming film, #Gold reached 20 million followers.
Akshay Kumar thanks his followers aka Akkians as called by the actor, on twitter.
Akshay shared a tweet on Tuesday celebrating the news, he wrote, "Wondering what am I celebrating? YOU ALL Delighted to share, we are now a family of 20 MILLION AKKIANS on Instagram Thank you for being there with me as we cross such milestones together. Love & prayers."
He also posted a video blowing confetti to celebrate hitting the high number of followers.
Akshay recently kickoff the #GoldBinChallenge to promote his upcoming film on twitter. The challenge is to land a goal with your team's effort. The entire star cast of 'Gold' shared a video performing the challenge themselves, from Akshay Kumar,Amit Sadh, Kunal Kapoor, Vineet Kumar Singh and Sunny Kaushal. With Akshay placing the ball in the bin at the end.
'Gold' is a historical sports drama, inspired by India's first Olympic gold medal that traces the "golden era" of Indian hockey through the journey of Tapan Das, a young assistant manager in 1936, who dreams of playing for an independent nation.
Directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Excel Entertainment 'Gold' will release on August 15.
