Apply a quarter-size amount of serum to your damp towel-dried hair to keep your strands smooth.

Comb your hair through and pull back as low and high you would like it to be and fix it with a rubber-band (depending on the density you can fix it as tight or lose you want).

Then place a segment of hair on the rubber-band to hide it and secure with u-pins.

Use a finishing product to fix the look.

style-jewellery-right-in-officeAakrosh Sharma, Vice President - Design and Merchandising at BlueStone.com, shares tips on how to carry off jewellery at work.

♦ Enhance, not exaggerate: Garnishing your outfit with subtle jewellery helps the tones and structures of an outfit standout. With the right amount of accessorising, it also makes sure jewellery doesn’t overpower your outfit in any way. Keep it elegant and sleek with minimal jewellery. It could be delicate diamond studs or pearls for those who want to explore less expensive options.

♦ Infuse your personality: Statement pieces can be achieved with simple jewellery like studs, rings, bracelets and necklaces. Layering two simple chains, adding your favourite charm pendants to bracelets, nice cufflinks and brooches to go with your shirt are all out-of-the-box ideas which are all a clever injection of your interests.

How to take care of your shoes during monsoon

how-to-take-care-of-your-shoes-during-monsoonNarendra Kumar, Creative Director, Amazon Fashion, offers the following tips to protect shoes from getting ruined:

♦ Brush them right: Make it a routine to remove the mud from the shoe as the damp mud tends to stick to the shoe which further spoils it due to the moisture present in the damp mud.

♦ Dry them well: Once you are done removing the damp mud, dry your shoes thoroughly before placing them back in the shoe cabinet/box as the moisture will attract fungus which will again ruin it and will give off a terrible smell. So give your shoes enough time to breathe back to life.

Get perfect eye make-up by skipping kohl

Many women swear by kohl and believe that their eye make-up is incomplete without that single swipe of the product on the lower eyelid. However, it is a pure misconception that the application of kohl alone can make your eyes brighter and more striking, says an expert.

Manisha Chopra, co-founder of SeaSoul Cosmeceuticals, offers some tips to get the perfect eye make-up by skipping kohl:

get-perfect-eye-make-up-by-skipping-kohl
♦ Mascara: Good mascara is every girl’s best friend. Apart from adding length and volume to your lashes, mascara is that final finishing touch you need for bold and beautiful eyes. If worked adroitly on the upper and lower lashes, it totally obviates the need for kajal.

♦ Eye shadow: Choose from light brown, pink or any nude shade, according to your eye colour and apply the eye shadow on the entire lid. This will make your eyes look brighter, especially when you give kohl a miss. You can also try the smokey effect, which works best on small eyes. If you’re blessed with bigger eyes, make them more impressive by opting for darker shades. Dab the eye shadow gently on the inner corner of your eyes and lids and get that smashing look within minutes.

Make-up earns men's admiration, women's jealousy

Men think women who wear make-up on are more "prestigious", while women think women with make-up on are more "dominant", reveals new research.

make-up-earns-mens-admiration-womens-jealousyThe findings suggest that make-up changes perceptions of status depending on who is making the judgement -- males or females.

The research is the first to report on how males and females perceive women who wear make-up differently.

"While both sexes agree that women with make-up look more attractive when it comes to 'high status', it really depends on who is looking," said researcher Viktoria Mileva, post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Stirling in Scotland.

First Look Poster of 'Yeh Hai India' unveiled

Director Lom Harsh unveiled the first poster of his upcoming patriotic drama 'Yeh Hai India'.

first-look-poster-of-yeh-hai-india-unveiled
Instead of showcasing his actors of the film, the poster reveals the basic details of the film like the name of the film, the director and the producer, along with the social media handles of the film.

But what actually catches the eye, is that only an image of a snake charmer wooing a snake is seen on the poster. The elements are all carved out of wood, which perhaps holds some deeper meaning.

The word 'India' is in green colour and there is a hint of the colour saffron, obviously referring to the prominent colours of our national flag.

About the poster, Lom said, "We didn't want the first poster of our first film to be the one with actors, as the content of our film is way above the actors who just enact the parts. India is known as the land of snake charmers, though that does not necessarily explain what our dear country is. Modiji (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) had said that it is digital India, not a land of snake charmers.

Prince is the boss, literally. He is the owner of a call centre and is filthy rich, and this is at a young age of just 27. In fact, all the other six of his friends on the trip are not his friends first, but his employees first. He makes them slog all over the week, but he makes up for that, by taking them on a pleasure trip to Goa over the weekend.

While his friends/employees are all muscled up and flaunt their six-packs, he is clearly out-of-shape, but he has no qualms about his unattractive body, because he believes in showing his massive wealth rather than his body.

Like every rich guy, he too, has an extremely hot girlfriend named Tanisha and is crazy about her. And he, not just flaunts his money, he even flaunts his hot girlfriend as a prized possession to all his friends.
