The people in Odisha on Friday gave thumbs up to the movie #BudhiaSinghBornToRun as they chorused that the wonder boy deserves the chance to live -- er, run -- his dream.

The first day of the film saw a big rush at the cinema halls in the capital city and other parts of the state.

"This was a good attempt to narrate the story of Budhia Singh, who went into oblivion for several years. He should be allowed to train under an expert. I would love to see him participate in the Olympics," said Sumit Behera, a Ph.D. student.

"The movie was really inspiring. We are proud of Budhia Singh. He should be given a chance to realise his dream. He can bring India more pride and glory," said Saswata Pradhan, an engineering student.

Actress #SanaKhan says that after seeing her acting and her appearance in Vishal Pandya's film #WajahTumHo, she can't believe it is her only.

"I think Vishal is one of the finest directors I am working with and I hope I get an opportunity to work with him again. What he is making me do, I don't believe that's me. I have never done that kind of acting and I have never looked that way.

"I think my cameraman is making me look amazing, my production is lovely, they treat me like a princess, I love T-Series. And I hope that in my future films as well, the production is that sweet, the pampering types," Sana said on the sidelines on the launch of a restaurant lounge.

Music composer-singer #BappiLahiri says that he is a devotee of all religions and has created a song of Gayatri Mantra and Buddha chants, which he plans to send to the #GrammyAward committee.

"Recently I have made something of only chants which will be going to the Grammys. There is Gayatri Mantra and Buddha chants in it, because people abroad like chants tremendously.

"You can check Tina Turner on Youtube, world number one singer, she has done so many rock songs, but she has created chants, it is very popular there," Lahiri said on the sidelines of the poster launch of the film "Umformung", based on Buddhist monks.

Singers #GwenStefani and #BlakeShelton are reportedly planning to get married.

Stefani and Shelton have also hired a top wedding planner for their big day, reports tmz.com. 

They have reportedly enlisted the help of Jerri Woolworth, who has offices in Tennessee and New York and has experience in planning events for the National Football League and the National Hockey League.

There is as yet no news about whether the couple have set a date for the wedding.

Despite being a couple for over a year, an engagement has been on the cards for a while, according to recent reports.

Actress #GwynethPaltrow is heading to the small screen to team up with music producer and rapper #Will.i.am for a new reality show.

The 43-year-old, who has her own lifestyle brand, Goop, and the Black Eyed Peas star will be joined by entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk on "Planet of the Apps", a new series co-produced by Propogate and Apple that will see the trio serve as mentors and advisors to app developers, reports mirror.co.uk.

Singer #ZaynMalik has covered up the tattoo of his former girlfriend #PerrieEdwards.

Malik got a cartoon version of the Little Mix star inked on his arm when the pair were dating, but he broke off their engagement last year and has now covered up the image with more ink, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

A recent photograph posted on the Snapchat of Malik's current girlfriend Gigi Hadid, 21, shows that the tattoo is gone.

Actress #UrvashiRautela will be opening an upcoming three-day jewellery exhibition titled Glamour 2016 on August 19 here.

The designer, who met Union Textiles Minister Smriti Irani on Thursday, says she is looking forward to work with the government. 

“The meeting went very well. We are looking forward to start the work from next week where we partner with the government on working with some handloom clusters,” Dongre told.

Dongre in association with BJP's parliament member Poonam Mahajan has been working towards elevating and providing sustained employment to Charoti village on the outskirts of Mumbai. And she says they plan to launch clusters on the same line soon. 

Bollywood actress #SonamKapoor has been announced as the ambassador for the Jio MAMI 18th Mumbai Film Festival and Star India's Word to Screen Market.

Curated by publisher and editor Arpita Das of Yoda Press, the initiative is a space where leading publishers and literary agents will meet with content creators. 

“I'm really excited to be associated with Word to Screen. I see immense promise in this initiative. It's an interesting platform to showcase great content and see it manifesting into great entertainment,” Sonam said in a statement.

Das along with two jury members will work in collaboration with publishing houses to curate over a dozen manuscripts, which will then be pitched to producers at the market. The event will be held on October 26.

Filmmaker #KaranJohar has shared that the second instalment of S.S. Rajamouli's magnum opus #Baahubali will hit the screens in April next year.

Karan, who distributed the Hindi version of the first part, took to Twitter on Friday to announce the release date.

"'Baahubali -- The Conclusion' releases on the 28th of April 2017," Karan tweeted.

After portraying former cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin's first wife Naureen in the biographical sports drama film "Azhar", actress #PrachiDesai says she is keen to essay astronaut Kalpana Chawla and the late Maharani Gayatri Devi of Jaipur on-screen.

Asked whom would she like to portray in a biopic, Prachi told: "There would be plenty... Actually there are two that I can name right now because they are drastically different. One would be Kalpana Chawla and the other would be Gayatri Devi."

Prachi, who shared screen space with actor Emraan Hashmi for the second time in "Azhar", which will premiere on Sony Max on August 14, says both the persons are "amazingly different".

Actress #EshaGupta, who comes from a non-film background, says an outsider in the industry needs to have patience more than talent.

Asked why she is not doing too many films, Esha told: “I think it's a simple reason. I tried to get some good films, but I was not getting good roles. When you are not from this industry, you need to have patience more than talent or anything. It takes time.

“I got many films which had huge money, but those were the kind of films which I would never wanted to do.

"I have also seen days where the (house) rent was Rs 20,000 and I was like where will I get the money from. If you are paying Rs 20,000 rent, you should earn at least Rs 50,000 in a month. I have seen those days as well,” she added.

Esha will next be seen in the upcoming film “Rustom”. She says she was not skeptical about essaying a negative role.

#PoojaHegde is set to make her Bollywood acting debut with "Bang Bang!" star Hrithik Roshan in the forthcoming film #MohenjoDaro, and the budding actress says she was nervous while sharing screen space with the heartthrob.

Did she get the jitters?

"Of course. He (Hrithik) is a really good actor. The plus-point of working with him is that ... you are so involved in a scene that acting for me became easier. Prime Minister #NarendraModi's initiative in the textile sector to promote Indian #Handloom as a brand has propelled weavers to the forefront in the country's fashion Industry, says designer Narendra Kumar.

Aiming to promote the splendid art and rich legacy of India's handloom industry, Modi had last year unveiled the ‘India Handloom' brand last August 7 to showcase the government's efforts to empower weavers and artisans.

“This focus on enabling the Indian handloom industry to grow has helped weavers take the forefront in the Indian fashion industry,” Kumar, who is also the Creative Director of e-commerce site Amazon Fashion, told IANS in an email interview.

The Punjab government on Thursday announced a ban on the screening of comedy film #TheLegendofMichaelMishra.

"The Punjab government has suspended the exhibition of the film with immediate effect for two months and during such suspension, it shall be deemed to be uncertified film in the state," a spokesman of the state government said.

He said the decision was taken "keeping in view the prevailing strong resentment among the Valmiki community about some objectionable references to Maharishi Valmiki".

Director #NityaMehra, who makes her debut with film #BaarBaarDekho, says that her film is complex, but at the same time, a very simple and beautiful story about love and life.

"Baar Baar Dekho" sees Sidharth Malhotra's character Jai falling in love with Katrina Kaif's character Diya, but developing cold feet on the wedding day.

The story then takes a turn when Jai suddenly starts ageing - 10 days on first day, two years on second day and 16 years on third day - and worries if he will die on the fourth day and then has to clear the mystery surrounding the strange process of ageing.

Model-turned-actress #CaraDelevingne has revealed that she lost her virginity at the age of 18 after she quit taking the anti-depressants she had been on for two years.

The 23-year-old actress -- who is dating singer/songwriter St. Vincent -- was prescribed the pills at the age of 16 when she was feeling depressed and suicidal, but hated them. She says it was only when she quit taking the medication that she could "feel things again", reports femalefirst.co.uk. 

"That week, I lost my virginity, I got into fights, I cried, I laughed. It was the best thing in the world to feel things again. And I get depressed still, but I would rather learn to figure it out myself than be dependent on meds, ever," Delevingne told Esquire magazine. 

Actor #BrendanFraser is set to star in the third season of American television drama series #TheAffair, which made its debut in 2014.

The 47-year-old star, best known for playing Rick O'Connell in "The Mummy" trilogy, has confirmed he will star in the third season of the popular series, although he has yet to reveal the character he will play in the show, reports deadline.com.

Fraser was signed up for the role by talent agency Gersh. 

Actress #SherlynChopra says that her film #Kamasutra3D is not her film, and also said that she has turned writer-director with a short film.

Sherlyn was present at the India Mobile Film Festival, where she was asked about her film 'Kamasutra 3D', she said, "That is not mine. All my best wishes to the starcast of the film and the team, but that is not my film."

Numerous pictures of Sherlyn for the film had gone viral in 2012 while the official trailer of the film launched in 2014 also saw her in some steamy scenes.

The film had made news in early 2014 when Sherlyn had filed a case against the director Rupesh Paul for threatening to cancel her dues for the film after she rejected his sexual advances, while Paul filed a defamation case against her. They, however, resolved their differences later on.

It is not clear if the shooting of the film has been completed.

About her upcoming projects, she said, "I have started the shooting of my short film today. I want my short film to release on Independence Day this month. It is going to be my first ever film as a writer, director and actor."

Singer #OzzyOsbourne says he is undergoing "intense therapy" for a "sex addiction" that nearly resulted in the disintegration of his marriage to Sharon Osbourne.

The 67-year-old said in a statement that he was "mortified" at the effect of his behaviour on his family, reports telegraph.co.uk.

The announcement came after hairstylist Michelle Pugh told the media that she had a "very real relationship" with Ozzy and that it lasted four years.

Actor #TigerShroff says that he took superstar #JackieChan's reference for his role in the film #FlyingJatt, and also said that he wants to become #SpiderMan.

While superhero films are usually out-and-out action films, 'Flying Jatt' is an action comedy. Considering Tiger will be showcasing his martial arts in the film along with comedy, "Jackie Chan was one of my references because he uses comedy so effortlessly with action", Tiger said at the music launch of the film.

"Since childhood, I have been a fan of Spider Man because, according to me, he has the maximum humanity; he is very human, very mortal. So he even gets hurt. He has a poor background, but when he wears the costume, he forgets all of that, all the pressures of the society on him.

Actress #IleanaDCruz says she was religious at one point, but now she does not "believe in one big power as such".

Asked if she is very spiritual or religious in real life, Ileana said here: "My belief is such that I don't believe in one big power as such. Nothing against religious people... I was religious at one point as well, but I just don't believe in it now.

Singer #ZaynMalik is about to make a move into the film and TV industry after reportedly landing a role as an executive producer.

According to The Sun newspaper, the 23-year-old former One Direction star is said to have teamed up with creators of Emmy-winning US series "Entourage" to make a TV series about an aspiring boyband, reports dailymail.co.uk. 

"This is a big deal for Zayn. He has been keen to get stuck into different projects outside of music and this is the perfect move. It's a subject he knows lots about and he will call upon his experiences to advise the scriptwriters on the show," said a source.

Actress #LindsayLohan isn't pregnant, her mother Dina Lohan has confirmed.

Lindsay blasted her fiance Egor Tarabasov on social media late last month after he chose to go out partying instead of staying home with her. She accused him of cheating on her with a Russian woman and said in one of her posts that she is pregnant. 

Lindsay's father Michael Lohan later confirmed the pregnancy in an interview, saying that his daughter broke the news to him via a text message. 

#SpiderMan could appear alongside the God of Thunder in #ThorRagnarok, according to hints dropped by #JonWatts, the director of "Spider-Man: Homecoming", and "Thor: Ragnarok" helmer Taika Waititi.

Watts tweeted to Waititi first on July 31 to ask if Spider-Man is going to be in the next "Thor" film, reports aceshowbiz.com.
