When asked Jackie whether Tiger has imbibed any qualities from him as a son, Jackie said, “Tiger has mentality that he focuses alot on his work. When he was a kid, he used to play basketball and he was so much into it that his rival schools also used to appreciate him in their matches. If he gets into any kind of work then he never looks anywhere. He is like horse of Bombay race course as he only looks ahead and I feel people should lead their life like that only.”

International stars regularly work in short film and documentaries but in India that don’t usually happens, when asked about that scenario , Shroff said, “I feel big players will also start working in this format because I feel people nowadays like to watch content  which is short in duration as they don’t have much time in their busy life. At one side, we are making film like Dangal which is making around 2000 crores at the box office but at the same time, films on this platform also create quality content so I feel, we should encourage and support new talent because everyone here started as a newcomer in the industry and that’s how they became huge after certain point of time.”

When asked Shroff whether he always like to do darker roles, he replied, “When I did my first film Swami Dada, I played role of villain in which I was left hand of Shakti Kapoor and I also came with intension of becoming a villain in films and I thought it’s good that I will not be doing dance and songs and I also thought I don’t have the ability to hold my position as hero alongside so many good looking actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Khanna and Dharmendra.”

I represent the majority with dark complexion: Nawazuddin

During his days as a junior artiste in showbiz, he was told he can't be cast as they would need "extra light" to make him "visible". #Nawazuddin_Siddiqui, currently one of the most visible actors in the foreign film festival circuit from India, says he feels he represents the country's "majority" with his dark skin.

In a candid chat here, Nawazuddin recounted a story from his struggling days, and said: "In those days, I used to work on a daily basis for television shows as a junior artiste. Because of my brown complexion, people used to say, 'We can't take you... we have to put extra light to make you visible, you are dark and we don't have time.'

"Even after 12 years, nothing much has changed. People call me 'unusual'. They say that a dark skinned man is too unusual to become a hero of a mainstream film."

"In our country, a majority of the population have dark skin complexion. Even I have dark complexion, which means I represent the majority. I want to ask, how am I the 'unusual' when I represent the maximum," questioned Nawazuddin, who had called out racism via a tweet last month.

Trained at the National School of Drama, the National Award winning actor is known for slipping into a character of a contract killer and that of a noted writer with equal ease.

He says it is essential to trace the food culture of the past, and try to infuse new life in it.

Age gap between spouses may affect marriage satisfaction

While men and women both tend to experience marital satisfaction with younger spouses, the satisfaction is likely to fade over time if there is a significant age gap between the partners, researchers have found.

age-gap-between-spouses-may-affect-marriage-satisfaction
The findings showed that for the couples with a big age gap between the partners, the initial satisfaction tends to erode rapidly after six to ten years of marriage.

However, when paired with a younger spouse, men and women both showed greater marital satisfaction.

"We find that men who are married to younger wives are the most satisfied and men who are married to older wives are the least satisfied," said Terra McKinnish, Professor at University of Colorado Boulder.

"Women are also particularly dissatisfied when they're married to older husbands and particularly satisfied if they're married to younger husbands," McKinnish added.

'Orange is the New Black' deeply universal: Taylor Schilling

orange-is-new-black-deeply-universal
Schilling essays role of Piper Chapman in "Orange is the New Black", which is aired in India on Colors Infinity.

She said in a statement: "There's so much humour and I think the humour is absolutely universal, but that idea of being in the context of you know people at their lowest, there's so much freedom to that and I think we need to be reminded that even when we're there, we're okay and we're valuable, and our humanity is intact and our voice is of value in the world.

"And I think the show does that, it pays a lot of respect to people at every point in their lives. So, it's something deeply universal to me."

Based on the best-selling memoir "Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women's Prison" by Piper Kerman and created by Jenji Kohan, the Emmy-award winning TV series is set in a fictional prison in Litchfield, New York.

Schilling also feels that there is an international appeal to the show as "it deals with basic universal human themes of wanting to connect, wanting to be seen for who you are, of what happens, how are we judged, are we judged by doing things we're of, not proud are we judged by the worst, darkest moments in our lives or by the lighter moments in our lives and can those things coexist."

'Secret Superstar' based on girl child empowerment: Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan, whose last film "Dangal" told the story of two girls who grow up to become formidable wrestlers, says his upcoming movie "Secret Superstar" -- a musical drama -- is yet another film on the empowerment of the girl child.

The film revolves around a teenager who dreams of becoming a famous singer.

"Both 'Dangal' and this film are based on the same topic... That we look differently at our daughters. And probably we aren't able to give the same treatment to our daughters as our sons. So, 'Secret Superstar' is another film based on empowerment of the girl child," Aamir said here when asked about the message that "Secret Superstar" carries for the society.

Pair the right eyewear with right attire

The right kind of #eyewear can make or break your entire look. While black rimmed glasses are for the fall season, oversized glasses look great with high waist trousers and polo T-shirt, suggest experts.

Ishaan Kataria, Gem Opticians and Salesh Grover, Business Head, OSL luxury, have rolled out tips on how you can amp up your outfits with the perfect glasses:

* Formal: The trending black rimmed glasses are meant for the fall season and the formal look. Another easy fit for any formal look is the gradient almost transparent lenses that can add the right amount of suave to your persona.

Formal wear in classic hues of blue, grey, black should be accessorised with basic frames which do not subdue the simple and suave look.

* Casual: Face shape and size is an important determinant to choose the eyewear. The double framed look (frame in frame look) with tinted lenses could make an interesting eyewear option.

Pastel colour shirts, T-shirts go well with big framed or double framed glasses. Checkered shirts and a pair of shorts or jeans along with simple gold rimmed aviator also does the trick.
