Bhumi The lust stories actress before making it as an actress, worked as a casting executive for Yash Raj films . Asked whether her working as casting executive helped learn the industry tricks she said: "Definitely. It benefited me a lot in my acting because I feel my experience working as casting executive was equivalent to going to any film school.

"I worked with different directors where I used to conduct auditions of different actors, so I got fair amount of idea about what is required and what is not required to be an actor. I was enacting film scenes for 3 years of my life working as casting executive."

Bhumi will be next seen in the historical drama 'Takht'. Talking about the film she said,  "I am very excited about this magnum opus as it's a big one for me. It has a beautiful star cast. Talented and stunning performer Bhumi Pednekar just dropped the first official poster for the film along with the release date on the social media. While Sushant will be seen playing a dacoit in the film, Bhumi’s role has been kept under wraps. Abhishek Choubey’s Son Chiriya also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Ashutosh Rana, and Ranvir Shorey in pivotal roles.

Bhumi was interacting with media at 68th-anniversary celebration of Navbharat Times Utsav, 2018 along with Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor, Rani Mukherjee, Pankaj Tripathi on Friday in Mumbai.

Sharing her feelings after receiving an award at Navbharat Times Utsav, 2018, Bhumi said, “I have received an award under the category of ‘Most Promising Young Talent’ at Navbharat Times Utsav, 2018 and I am very thankful to Navbharat Times for that because it is very motivating for an actor when he or she receives an award. I have been in this industry from last two and a half year. I have worked in three films and Now, I did a small sting on the web as well. Whatever I have till done till date has been appreciated so I am very thankful to the audience.”

Bhumi’s poignant portrayal of a maid in Zoya Akhtar’s contribution to the Netflix anthology film ‘Lust Stories’ has been widely appreciated, sharing her experience working with filmmaker Zoya Akhtar in ‘Lust Stories’, Bhumi said, “I have been a huge fan of Zoya Akhtar and it was a big thing for me that I had opportunity to work with her. It a short film of 20 minutes and as an actor, I really had fun when I heard the script of that film and I realized that it’s a challenging role and I really like to take challenging roles.”

“People often ask me why I do fewer films because I feel I haven’t offered challenging roles so whenever challenging roles will be offered to me I ready to be part of those projects”

Giving an update on her upcoming projects, Bhumi said, “Shooting of ‘Son Chiriya’ has been completed. Abhishek Chaubey is the director of that film. Other than that, there will be lots of announcements of my upcoming films. I will talk about it once it is announced.”

Akshay Kumar took to his social media account and shared the news with fans along with a Chinese poster of “Toilet Ek Prem Katha”.

The movie will releases in China on 8th June, the total number of screen allotted are 4300, which is a massive number! Earlier Bajrangi Bhaijaan got the biggest release in China so far with more than 8000 screen count.

Shree Narayan Singh directorial film is a satirical comedy in support of governmental campaigns to improve sanitation conditions in India, with an emphasis on the eradication of open defecation, especially in rural areas.

As for Bhumi Pedenkar, the actress is currently busy wrapping her first outing with Sushant Singh Rajput titled Sonchiriya, is an upcoming crime film directed by Abhishek Chaubey. The film presents a rooted tale set in Chambal.

The first trailer for Netflix’s Lust Stories was launched yesterday. The venture unites India’s biggest directors - Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee and Karan Johar - for a truly international anthology film.

Bhumi Pednekar features in Zoya Akhtar’s segment and talks about her experience. She said, “When I got a call from Zoya Akhtar, I was literally jumping in my bed because she was on my wish-list for the longest time. I was so excited and when she shared the story with me, I was like, oh my god, I have to do this because I am constantly looking for newer characters, newer stories, newer emotions to fell, newer boundaries to break and the story did it all for me”

“It speaks about so many biases that we have and we don’t even know they exist. We just look through them and walk on with life, and Zoya in her own sweet and nice manner along with the story has highlighted that”

This is first-time Actress Bhumi Pednekar will feature on digital platform Netflix. Talking about reaching the audience far and beyond, she said, “As actors and filmmakers, we want our stories to reach as many people as possible, and Netflix is one of such platforms. I think the digital audience is braver and more accepting towards new content. They are looking for new stories."

The film "Lust Stories" will release on June 15.

Bhumi Pednekar was interacting with media at 20th Beti FLO GR8 Awards 2018 on Monday in Mumbai.

Talking about her upcoming projects, Bhumi said, “We have released first look of mine from my upcoming film ‘Son Chiriya’. As of now, I can’t reveal too many details about the film but I can say that it’s a special film in short span of my career. We have worked really hard for this film. This film has really good director and cast. It’s a different kind of film and I am sure this film will have the same amount of impact like my previous films.”

Asifa Bano, an 8 year old girl abducted, raped and murdered in Rasana village near Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir in January 2018. Since then there has been nationwide uproar on this case, reacting on that horrific incident, Bhumi said, “The kind of circumstances our country is going through, I feel scare thinking about future generation of our country. We are moving towards animalistic and beast like mentality which is really heartbreaking.  I feel justice must be served to Aisfa and many other victims like her who has experienced shameful act like this so, that it doesn’t happen again. I am an optimistic person and I feel there will be stricter laws and punishment to zero down incidents like these. I think our agency should set a fine example so that people will think twice before committing such crimes.”

The actress on Wednesday took to social media and shared her first look from the sets of 'Sonchiriya' on the film's wrap.

The film stars Bhumi opposite Sushant Singh Rajput, along side Ashutosh Rana, Manoj Bajpayee, and Ranvir Shorey. A couple of months ago, Sushant's first look from the film was unveiled. He also plays a dacoit in 'Sonchiriya'. 

The 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan' actor on Friday tweeted, "Am so excited and proud of this one 🙏🏻 #ZoyaAkhtar you’re just ❤️ #luststories a beautiful collaboration of brilliant minds :)"

The actress also shared a snapshot of the a frame from the film, where Bhumi can be seen in a simple sari, lying on a bed. 

Filmmaker Karan Johar who is also part of the project took to Twitter thanking the co-directors and Netflix India.

Lust Stories is a compilation of four stories will be directed by four award-winning directors, Zoya Akhtar, Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee.

“Toilet Ek Prem Katha” actor Bhumi is the cover girl for Asia Spa for their 14th Anniversary special edition.

On the cover, Bhumi has donned a pastel pink halter neck satin dress which had a fit and flare effect to it. Sporting gold dangle earrings, filled in brows and a no-makeup makeup look finished off her look to perfection while her sultry eyes add the sexiness factor to classy attire.

Bhumi Pednekar started off her career with “Dum Laga Ke Haisha” which bought her name and fame. Now the actress is all set with her second movie, Toilet Ek Prem Katha with Akshay Kumar and hails the “Rustom” star an example for a newbie like her.

“Toilet Ek Prem Katha is a very special film for me. I can easily say that the shooting for the film has been the best experience in my life, yet. Akshay Kumar is a great example for someone like me, it is my second film.”

“When you see someone like him, who has been here for 25 years and done hundreds of films, he is so driven, dedicated and professional. He still so excited about being on set and killing everyone scene he does to his upmost capacity. I am very inspired by him and it was just fantastic working with him” said Bhumi Pednekar about working with Khiladi Kumar.

The film is a satirical comedy film incorporates Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, with emphasis on the eradication of open defecation in public areas, especially in the rural areas of India.

Talking about picking socially relevant subject, Bhumi credits her upbringing in socially aware environment.

Prabhu on Tuesday took to Twitter, where he shared a series of photographs of the meeting with the two actors. He also praised Akshay and called him a fine actor and wonderful human being. 

"Pleasure meeting Akshay Kumar, fine actor, wonderful human being. Appreciate his efforts to spread awareness about Swachh Bharat through cinema," Prabhu captioned the image.

The National Award winning actor also shared a few photograph from Prabhu's office and said that he is looking forward to associating and making a difference.
