"Functional jewellery is indeed superseding the elaborate sets. In keeping with this trend, we primarily focus on contemporary light wear jewellery that appeals more to the younger generation," Arvind Singhal, Chief Operational Officer, Bluestone.com, said in a statement.

The jewellery e-tailer has just introduced Jashn-e-Jodhpur, a line celebrating the vivid blue tones that the royal city of Jodhpur is known for. The collection brings together diamonds and sapphires.

Why Jodhpur?

"Indian jewellery has drawn inspiration from various monuments, cities, traditions and forms of nature. Keeping this as the core of our design aesthetic, we wanted to create an exquisite sapphire and diamonds collection. The vivid blue tones and the rich indigo tones of Jodhpur forms an integral part of our inspiration," Singhal said.

Tips to pick right lingerie for Holi

Want to be carefree on #Holi? Choose the right #lingerie, says an expert.

tips-to-pick-right-lingerie-for-holi
Rosmin Kunnathottathil, Co-Founder of www.tlslingerie.com, shares some tips on how to pick the right lingerie for Holi so that you can enjoy the festival of colours without worrying about anything.

* Old is gold: Remember that whatever you wear, will get colour stains on it to say the least. So for the Holi festival, go for lingerie that is worn out.

* Say no to bright colours: Avoid wearing bright coloured briefs on Holi and stick to dark colours. You don't want to be caught with your coloured brief showing through separately after you are all black and blue with colour.

Say bye to Holi after-effects with lemon, coconut oil

Do you stay away from colours on #Holi for the fear of its after-effects? Instead, stock up on coconut oil, sesame seed oil and lemon for post-Holi #skincare regime, says an expert.

Aakriti Kochar, beauty and make-up Expert, Oriflame India, shares some post-Holi hacks:

* After playing with the colours, remember not to use harsh soaps to get rid of colours from your skin. Do not wash your face with soap immediately, because soap is alkaline and causes further dryness. Instead, use a cleansing cream or lotion which soothes the skin while cleansing.

Massage on the skin and then wipe off with moist cotton wool. If you have sensitive skin, opt for essential oils like tea tree oil for oily/acne prone skin for treatment, lavender oil to treat cuts/ rashes on your face and body.

* To get rid of colours and chemicals on your skin, use coconut oil. It is gentle and hydrating and one of the best alternative to make-up remover as well. Do not worry if your skin is as it is oily, coconut oil is useful for cleansing on all skin types. Make sure to rinse off coconut oil from your face, body with cold water or mild body wash. For your hair, use coconut oil to cleanser your scalp and hair, and wash off with your regular shampoo and condition.

Undeterred, RGV shot back nonchalantly: "Great @PawarSpeaks (NCP President Sharad Pawar) should kick you out for threatening to take law in hands in our sovereign democratic country. You are a disgrace to his ideals."

Unfazed, Awhad warned that if RGV didn't apologise, he would lodge a formal police complaint against the filmmaker.

And I'll just cleanse and I get a nice smooth finish," Alba told Into The Gloss magazine.

The "Into The Blue" actress, who has daughters Honor, 8, and Haven, 5, with her husband Cash Warren, loves using the Nurse Jamie Instant Uplift, especially under her chin, because she feels like her face is getting a "little work out".

Some easy ways to maintain your leather shoes

When you spend oodles of money on a nice pair of #leather_shoes, it is important to maintain them well too. Add a layer of rubber at the bottom of the sole and keep your leather shoes away from direct sunlight, suggests an expert.

some-easy-ways-to-maintain-your-leather-shoes
Ishaan Sachdeva, Director at shoe brand Alberto Torresi, has listed how you can maintain leather shoes:

* Applying polish is a must to-do thing. But while doing so, one thing that needs to be kept in mind is to apply cream polish in the same colour as the shoe to protect it.

In case of unfinished leather, oil like mink oil helps to preserve the quality of the leather.

* Add a layer of rubber at the bottom of the sole. The rubber protects the leather soles from damage and allows them to stay for long.

Décor trends to revamp your home

Let your home reflect your personality. Use text on your wall, or make the decor eco-friendly to add a tasteful touch to the surroundings, suggests an expert.

decor-trends-to-revamp-your-home
Mahima Singh, Visual Merchandiser at Furlenco, a furniture rental company, has decoded some of the design trends that could be incorporated in your haven:

♦ Text infused: Depending on your personality, decor could either be totally inspired by quirkiness or you could add just a hint of it on some corners and liven it up. This kind of decor brings out friendly vibes and makes it the highlight of your home.

The easiest way to try it out is by adding some text cushion covers which are relatable to your thoughts or personality. Combine it with some solid color cushions to kill the chaos, if any.

Another way of adding these texts would be to get some texts printed of your choice and frame it along on your photo wall.

Paint a section of your wall as blackboard and put on your painter's hat. That way, you can have a new thought or line to sketch around everyday, and keep the quirkiness fresh forever.

♦ Indian décor: Indian interior design features rich textiles and furniture, often handmade, using traditional methods. Finding the right balance is really important and very tricky as Indian decor can end up making your house look too colourful, kitschy and out of sync with your idea of a 'home you feel euphoric about'.

It was fun to play non-living character in 'Phillauri': Anushka

Bollywood actor-producer #Anushka_Sharma who is playing a ghost bride in her second production #Phillauri says it was fun to play a "non-living" character.

it-was-fun-to-play-non-living-character-in-phillauri-anushka
"It was fun to play a non-living character because normally we play characters which are in the flesh and its boring to portray a living character in each film. You should keep doing a different thing. I think I've represented the ghost community well," she said in an interview on Tuesday.

The "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" actress ventured into production with 2015 thriller "NH-10" and is now gearing up for her banner's (Clean Slate Films) next project "Phillauri".

When asked about what she enjoys the most, the 28-year-old actress said, "I enjoy both. I have realised that when I have too many responsibilities on me, I perform better. Acting and producing both are very different things. Like when I am on set I just do my job and when I am producing a film I have to collaborate with ALL, right from the inception of a film. Both are going well for me."

"As India's diverse array of talented filmmakers continues to be recognized around the world for their compelling and daring work, IFFLA is extremely proud to collect the best films from emerging voices and experienced masters and present them to Los Angeles," said Mike Dougherty, Director of Programming, in a statement.

A popular filmmaker, TV show host and now also an author, Karan will, be on the other side of the coffee table.

The session, Love Beyond Boundaries, is likely to be interesting given Karan's fatherhood as well as his book "An Unsuitable Boy", in which he spoke on his sexual orientation.

He wrote: "I don't need to scream it out. If I need to spell it out, I won't only because I live in a country where I could possibly be jailed for saying this."

Karan will also perhaps make an interesting candidate to discuss the issue, given the fact that he cast Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in his directorial "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" which released amid much brouhaha last year.

The India Today Conclave, to be held on March 17-18, will also see megastar Amitabh Bachchan and superstar Shah Rukh Khan sharing the stage.

The two-day event will also see talented actresses Anushka Sharma, Alia Bhatt and Kalki Koechlin.

In a video titled "Believe in You", narrated and produced by Raashi, the "Jil" actress asks "Why are we afraid living the way we want to. Why do you have to compromise your dreams and give up. Whom are constantly fighting, whom are you competing with?"

She went on add that as women, they are not here to race against men, but to thrive together.

"A soul has no gender, yet we are fortunate to have a woman's body. Fortunate to be the most beautiful expression of the universe. Embrace it and celebrate. You're beautiful and powerful and deserve every chance in the world. Then, what is that stops you? Is that judgmental voices that discourage or is it something that's within," she said.

Raashi said women should define the way they want to be.

Rakul Preet, on the other hand, in a very different take on Women's Day, asked in a video why we remember women, their achievements and their struggle just for a day.

In the study, healthy people aged 65-77 who drank concentrated blueberry juice every day showed improvements in cognitive function, blood flow to the brain and activation of the brain while carrying out cognitive tests.

Evidence also suggested improvement in working memory, the researchers said, in the paper published in the journal Applied Physiology, Nutrition, and Metabolism.

Blueberries are rich in flavonoids -- found abundantly in plants -- which possess antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, the important components in causing these effects.

"The study shows that with just 12 weeks of consuming 30ml of concentrated blueberry juice every day, brain blood flow, brain activation and some aspects of working memory were improved in this group of healthy older adults," said Joanna Bowtell from the University of Exeter in Britain.

i-prefer-to-focus-on-couture-do-fewer-events-suneet-varma
"Personally, I prefer to focus on couture and do fewer events and make them special. Therefore, I participate in couture weeks and do my stand alone shows whereby I can create everything based on the inspiration of the collection and create a spectacular event," Varma told.

Varma has been been in the fashion industry for over two decades and has showcased his collections at various fashion weeks. He is currently here to showcase his latest collection at the fourth edition of India Beach Fashion Week 2017.

He feels there are too many fashion weeks taking place in India.

"My opinion is divided. Personally, I feel there are too many fashion weeks in too many cities and they essentially become a marketing and PR plan for corporate sponsors. On the other hand, a fashion week in a two or three tier city will definitely bring about an opportunity for a young designer to realize his dreams on the runway," he said.

"She's a peace seeker; she wouldn't go and look to start a battle or a fight. She would try to solve it in any other different way, but I think that's what's beautiful about Wonder Woman," she added.
