According to reports, A special investigation team of the Punjab Police had summoned Hindi film actor Akshay Kumar, former Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and former deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal in connection with the sacrilege incidents in the state in 2015.

The commission found that the sacrilege incidents were linked to the Akal Takht's pardon to controversial Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim in a blasphemy case, allegedly secured by the then chief minister Parkash Singh Badal.

According to reports, the allegation against Akshay Kumar is that he played a role in mediating between the Badals and Ram Rahim. After the controversial God-Man was convicted of rape last year, Mr. Kumar had denied ever meeting him.

But now Akshay Kumar denies everything. He issued a statement on his social media profile. Which read, “It has come to my knowledge that some rumours and false statements are being loosely made on social media about my involvement with a person name Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, in the context of a fictitious meeting involving Sh. Sukhbir Singh Badal. With all humility, I would like to state the following facts:

“I have never ever met Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in my life, anywhere”  

“I learnt from social media at some point that Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh resided for while at some place in my locality Juhu, in Mumbai but we never ever crossed each other’s paths”

Hum Chaar explores the idea that in a world where families are nuclear and joint families are rarely seen, friends become family too.

Raid is a 2018 crime-action film written by Ritesh Shah and directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. It features Ajay Devgn, Ileana D'Cruz and Saurabh Shukla.

The film is inspired by the real life income-tax raid conducted by the officers of the Income Tax Department under the leadership of a courageous and upright Indian Revenue Service officer in the 1980s. It was released worldwide on 16 March 2018, and was met with positive reviews from critics.

On the work front, Ajay Devgn is currently busy with back to back several projects, such as Total Dhamaal, De De Pyaar De, Turram Khan, Taanaji - The Unsung Warrior and football based biopic.

Taanaji - The film is locked in for a release on 25 September 2019 and produced by the Ajay Devgn himself at a budget of Rs 150 crore. It relies on heavy VFX work and the story revolves around the life of Tanaji Malusare, a Koli military leader in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s army.

The series is written by Reshu Nath of “Bose: Dead/Alive” fame, Broken see Vikrant Massey romance Harleen Sethi, who is set to make her web-series debut with the venture.

In Panga, Kangana will be seen playing the role of a Kabaddi player. Panga is being produced by Fox Star Studios and the Dangal screenwriter Nikhil Mehrotra has helped Ashwiny with the film's screenplay and dialogues.

Apart from Kangana, the film also stars Richa Chadha, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi and Punjabi singer-actor Jassie Gill. The film will be about a newage family who challenges stereotypes and dare to dream. It is slated to release next year.

On the work front, Kangana will also be seen sharing the screen space with actor Rajkummar Rao in the upcoming movie Mental Hai Kya. This is the second time that the duo has collaborated for a film.
