The director of the movie, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari recently took to her social media profile and revealed that the film Panga has gone on floors and shared a photo of the film's clapperboard. In Panga, Kangana will be seen playing the role of a Kabaddi player. Panga is being produced by Fox Star Studios and the Dangal screenwriter Nikhil Mehrotra has helped Ashwiny with the film's screenplay and dialogues.

Apart from Kangana, the film also stars Richa Chadha, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi and Punjabi singer-actor Jassie Gill. The film will be about a newage family who challenges stereotypes and dare to dream. It is slated to release next year.

On the work front, Kangana will also be seen sharing the screen space with actor Rajkummar Rao in the upcoming movie Mental Hai Kya. This is the second time that the duo has collaborated for a film.

Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari directorial Panga, starring Kangana Ranaut in the lead along with Patralekhaa. However, a leading media house ran a story stating that “City lights” actress has walked out of the film because she didn’t want to work with Kangana.

Actor Rajkummar Rao just took to his social media profile and called out the media house for running such stories without checking.

He wrote, “Come on guys, didn’t expect dis from u. Just because u can put a question mark in the end doesn’t mean u can write anything. Please do your basic research before putting out such FAKE stories. We both have immense respect for Kangana. Ok am done, ab hum jakar shoot karte hain”
