The man sitting beside you or right in front of you is not right; make sure you acknowledge it, as that is the sixth sense. If you have a feeling that I don't need to go in this lane, don't do it. That feeling is sixth sense or awareness, the number one self defence."

So I don't want to be compared with anybody but if right opportunity comes my way then I am open to do a light hearted film in the near future."

Star kids are always under scrutiny, says Madhuri

star-kids-are-always-under-scrutiny-says-madhuri
"It is a little difficult to be an outsider... to come into the industry and make a name for yourself. But I think even for the star kids, it's hard because they are under scrutiny all the time," Madhuri said during a conversation with Vikram Chandra, consulting editor, NDTV.

"And they are scrutinised in a much tougher way than what an outsider may come and do," she added.

Madhuri graced the panel discussion with her doctor-husband Shriram Madhav Nene at the ongoing FICCI Frames 2017 on Thursday.

"I don't know if it's tougher or easier, but I think if you're from the industry, you know how it works because you have seen your parents go through it and how the whole industry works," she said.

Coming from a non-filmy background, Madhuri feels that it is difficult for an outsider to understand the industry logistics.

"When you're from outside, you don't know how it works. First, you have to discover how the industry works, then you have to make your contacts and even after doing a film, you have to keep doing films after films, just to show that you have it in you and you can do it," said the "Dil" star.

Aakriti Kochar, Beauty and Make-up Expert at Oriflame India, and Elizabeth Tapsall, Beauty and Make-up Expert of ColorBar, list some hair and make-up looks inspired from AIFW A/W 2017:

* Bold graphic eyeliner, Wendell Rodricks's Arabic winged eyeliner or double flick extended eyeliner on the outer corners.

* Slick hair ponytail and loose strands can help you look effortless chic. This was seen in Pankaj and Nidhi's show with graphic black eyeliner drawn on the outer contour of the eyes and smudged inwards to give a smokey effect. Though this look still looked more graphic than smokey. A blend of both seemed interesting and not too couture to carry otherwise.

The standoff between Disney Malaysia and the censorship board, which requires all foreign films to apply for public screenings, over a song-and-dance scene between two male characters was perceived to have a moment of intimacy.

The vetting department run by the Ministry of Home Affairs agreed to allow the uncut remake of the animated film to be screened in cinemas two weeks after its scheduled release, reports Efe.

"Disney's 'Beauty And The Beast' has now been approved to be released in Malaysia with no cuts, with a PG13 rating," said Disney Malaysia in a statement.

Eastwood and Walker became friends in 2005 when they met on the sets of the film "Flags of our Fathers", directed by the former's father Clint Eastwood.

"Paul was like an older brother to me, so to even consider the role was definitely an emotionally charged decision. At the end of the day, I felt he would have wanted any of his boys to be a part of something that he was so proud of. That's what made me feel good about the decision and once I got on set, I knew it was the right one," he said in a statement from the studio.

India's media, entertainment revenues seen at Rs 2.41 lakh crore by 2021

The #Indian_media and entertainment industry is projected to grow at 13.9 per cent compound annual growth rate #CAGR over 2016-21 to reach Rs 2.41 lakh crore by 2021, said a study released here on Wednesday.

The report prepared by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Ficci) and management consultants Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler (KPMG) says the Indian media and entertainment industry in 2016 was a "mixed bag", where films had a "disappointing year with a near flat performance".

Girish Menon, director, Media and Entertainment, KPMG in India, said: "2016 was a mixed bag for the industry with digital media making its way to the centre stage rapidly from being just an additional medium. It is compelling existing players to rethink their business models.

"To accelerate growth, M&E organisations must rebuild their strategies to fit and thrive in the changing, digitally-oriented landscape. Nimbleness and flexibility will be at the core of sustainable businesses."

The overall media and entertainment industry was able to sustain a healthy growth on the back of strong economic fundamentals and steady growth in domestic consumption coupled with growing contribution of rural markets across key segments.

These factors aided the industry to grow at 9.1 per cent on the back of advertising growth of 11.2 per cent, despite demonetisation shaving off 150 to 250 basis points in terms of growth across all sub-segments at the end of the year, said a statement.
