Ways to increase life of electric chimney

Want to clean those greasy #electric_chimney or cooker hoods?

ways-to-increase-life-of-electric-chimney
Make sure that the filters fit properly and get a professional to visit and service the chimney at regular intervals, says an expert.

Rakesh Kumar Jain, Deputy General Manager Quality Assurance, Inalsa, has shared ways to maintain electric chimneys or kitchen hoods, which play a major role in your kitchen.

♦ Choose wisely: See the suction power of a chimney before you install one in your kitchen. It is the capacity of the motor, of the chimney, to suck oil particles and odour. The chimneys with a long hose have generally more suction power. An Indian kitchen essentially requires a chimney with higher air suction capacity.

♦ Fit filters: If the filters do not function properly the suction becomes poor and can pose a health hazard. The choice of the right filter improves the performance of the chimney.

Tips to safeguard your bridal outfit after marriage

Store your expensive and heavy #wedding_outfit wisely. Keep it away from moisture and store in a proper bag, says an expert.

tips-to-safeguard-your-bridal-outfit-after-marriage
Designer Shaveta Choudhary has rolled out a few tips that you can consider while storing you bridal wear:

♦ Don't hang your outfit by the shoulder straps instead hang it by the loops located inside otherwise it will loosen the outfit.

♦ If possible when you fold the outfit, keep a plain paper in between the folds so the embroidery doesn't get spoiled.

♦ Keep the outfit in a transparent cellophane bag as it is a natural barrier for moisture.

♦ Keep it away from harsh light as strong light can change the colours of the outfit.

♦ Dupatta can be done the same way and for blouses they can be hanged or folded away if storing for a longer time.

Stylise your look with a dupatta differently

Look different with your #dupatta and stand out from the crowd, says an expert.

stylise-your-look-with-dupatta-differently
Mandeep Nagi, Design Director at Shades of India, a textile brand, has shared some easy ways to drape your dupatta:

♦ Wrapping it over the head: One of the more artsy ways of wearing a dupatta is to wrap it over and around your head. However, this style looks at its best if you are also wearing a prominent jewellery over your head.

♦ Use it as an accessory: Instead of winding the dupatta conventionally over the hand, you can tie it around your hand and use it as an added accessory to bring a modern touch to your traditional/conventional outfits.

♦ Out at the front: Instead of putting the dupatta in the form of a choker neck, you can put it across the shoulders from both the sides and keep it at front. A casual, yet, sophisticated look that never fails to impress.

protect-you-hair-in-winter-using-simple-tips
Sangeeta Velaskar, Vice President and Head, Medical Services and R&D, Kaya Limited has rolled out a few pointers:

* For dry hair: Use a mild shampoo with conditioner twice a week and deep condition your hair once a week. During the winter months, it's a great idea to treat your hair to a deep conditioning treatment at least once a week.

This will help in replenishing the moisture, which tends to get depleted due to styling with hot hair tools or the cold winter air. An alternative is to oil the hair once a week and leave overnight for the moisture to get absorbed in the roots. This leaves your hair feeling soft and shiny.

"It was Steven Spielberg. It was Oprah Winfrey. It was Rita Wilson Hanks and Tom Hanks. And it was former Disney magnate Michael Eisner. They all thought it was completely the right move.

"Spielberg and Eisner were the most enthusiastic," Travolta told GQ.com about the show, which follows the 1994 murder trial of the former American football player's partner Nicole Brown Simpson.

Travolta, who has worked in the entertainment industry for over four decades, says there are high points in everyone's career, although actors are not "guaranteed" to be involved in every "high quality" project.

The "Forger" actor, whose eldest son Jett died in 2009, has son Benjamin as well as daughter Ella with wife Kelly Preston. Travolta said: "You have these points in your career when you are associated with high quality, with depth, communication, and things that matter on a social level.

"And when you hit those notes -- whether it be 'Primary Colors', or on the cover of 'Time' magazine, or 'Pulp Fiction', or 'Saturday Night Fever', or 'Urban Cowboy' -- where you're affecting the society on a global level, then you feel a different kind of pride. It's beyond the pride of success. It's the pride of... integrity, I guess?

Its lead actor Gurmeet Choudhary says they will pump up the marketing and promotion for two extra weeks to make the film even more viewer-friendly.

There has been a nationwide cash-crunch which has followed the central government's November 8 decision to demonetise high value currency notes. Gurmeet said the release date of his forthcoming film, which was set for a box office clash with Vidya Balan-starrer "Kahaani 2" on December 2, has been shifted because of demonetisation.

Gurmeet said: "Yes, we took a collective decision om Monday night to postpone the release of 'Wajah Tum Ho' from December 2 to December 16. The main reason is the demonetisation. It has had a crippling effect on the middle-class' buying power. They have no money to see movies at the moment."

How do the producers of the Vishal Pandya directorial expect the situation to improve in two weeks? And if demonetisation is affecting box office collections, why has Gauri Shinde's "Dear Zindagi" done well?
