“It is a known fact that our Indian population is spread across the world and when I went abroad for various events, I was surprised that most of the people were aware of Body Revival. It is unbelievable that a few foreigners are also well-versed with it, especially people in the medical fraternity.  Many channels showcase our ads and since they watch them, they know about it and several people in India have actually used the product and told about it to their near and dear ones abroad.

I have been flooded with requests to send Body Revival abroad since so many years, but due to our stocks running out so fast, it was not possible. But we have recently expanded the production capacity in our factory, so we decided on this move. We are currently working on the legalities to go ahead with our international distribution plans. We are hoping for the best," Khan said in an interview.

Here are a few habit changes, suggested by #ChandrikaMahendra, Principal Scientist, Research and Development (Personal care), The Himalaya Drug Company, that can help you:

♦ A periodic breath-test is important to keep a check on not only bad breath but also other indicative health conditions. And, isn't it better to be proactive and avoid the embarrassment caused by someone subtly offering you a mint? Cupping your hands around the mouth and sniffing may not be the best way to check your breath. The easy and quick spoon test does the job better. All you need to do is scrape the back of your tongue with the tip of a spoon, allow it to dry and smell-test it.

Playing video games - tennis may enhance memory

Activities like playing video games or tennis may help enhance your memory, a study has found.

playing-video-games-tennis-may-enhance-memory
Attention-grabbing experiences release memory-enhancing chemicals in brain, helping to store memories that occur just before or soon after the experience, the study mentioned.

"Activation of the locus coeruleus (part of the brainstem) increases our memory of events that happen at the time of activation and may also increase the recall of those memories at a later time," said Robert Greene, Professor at the Peter O'Donnell Jr. Brain Institute at UT Southwestern Medical Center's Texas Institute for Brain Injury and Repair, at Dallas in Texas.

The study, published in the journal Nature explains at the molecular level why people tend to remember certain events in their lives with particular clarity as well as unrelated details surrounding those events.

The latest study established that dopamine in the brain can be naturally activated through behavioural actions and that these actions enhance memory retention.

The study tested 120 mice to establish a link between locus coeruleus (LC) neurons and neuronal circuits of the hippocampus -- the region of the brain responsible for recording memories -- that receive dopamine from the LC.

Having sex once a week or more -- and enjoying it -- puts older men at higher risk for heart attacks and other cardiovascular problems, warns a new study.

For older women, however, good sex may actually lower the risk of hypertension, the study noted.

"These findings challenge the widely held assumption that sex brings uniform health benefits to everyone," said Hui Liu, Associate Professor at Michigan State University in the US.

"Strikingly, we find that having sex once a week or more puts older men at a risk for experiencing cardiovascular events that is almost two times greater than older men who are sexually inactive," Liu said.

Your perfumes may pollute environment

Love to wear designer perfumes? Be careful, as certain molecules produced in these man-made fragrances act as potential contaminants of the environment, and may also impact our ecosystem in the long run, said a study conducted in the canals of Venice, also known as the city without sewers.

Investigating the canals of Venice, the researchers looked for traces of molecules referred to as "perfumes" in the ingredients of products such as soaps, detergents, shampoos and many other personal hygiene products that we use daily.

The findings showed traces of "scented" molecules, including those more distant from inhabited areas, though concentrations were up to 500 times higher in the inner city canals.

Samples collected during conditions of low tide showed concentrations comparable to those of untreated waste water, the study revealed.

#TanyaJoshi, Senior Dietician and Nutritionist at Freshmen's Valley, shares some tips on how dairy products can soothe and nourish your skin.

♦ Cool milk compress: Milk compress is one of the quickest, simplest and low-cost methods. Milk is gentle on skin and can be used directly. The fats, proteins and pH of milk have soothing and anti-inflammatory effect on the skin.

Directions: Wash the face, hands and all the affected body parts with water and air dry slightly before applying milk. Take equal parts of milk and ice cubes in a bowl. Dip a clean cotton cloth or towel in milk and apply gently on the inflamed areas. Leave it for 10-15 minutes. The milk will dry on the skin and will form a thin protein layer that seals the moisture in, reduces heat and eases discomfort. Wash off this milk film. Repeat this step two to three times. Skimmed milk is best as using full fat milk can make the skin too oily.
