Internationally acclaimed Indian actress Priyanka Chopra looked ravishing in a lavender outfit as she attended her friend and actress Meghan Markle's wedding.

Her picture from the wedding surfaced online, the "Quantico" star was also spotted seen talking to actor George Clooney and his wife Amal.

Markle is marrying Britain's Prince Harry at St George's Chapel in Windsor. Her father Thomas would be unable to attend the wedding due to bad health.

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra is making a comeback of sorts to Bollywood, post her Hollywood and American Telly stints. She will be seen sharing screen space with Salman Khan in forthcoming drama “Bharat” helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar.

The film is an official adaptation of 2014 Korean film, 'Ode to My Father'. The movie also features Disha Patani in a pivotal role.

Sunny Leone plays the role of a warrior princess in this period drama, Veeramadevi. She has learned horse riding and sword fighting for this role. The film is helmed by Vadivudaiyan, the movie is touted to be a mega-budget period drama that promises hardcore special effects.

Karan Johar along with Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee  was present for the trailer launch of Netflix’s Lust Stories on Friday.

Karan who has always been known to stand up for the right for equality said his short story in the lust stories anthology is about a women's right to pleasure. 

When talking about his story and its significance he said, "It is called Lust stories, so of course the story is about love and lust and embedded when given a choice between love and lust most sensible people will chose lust. Because it is infinity more exiting then love it.it is the more popular 4 letter word to live a life by and I think that's what we chose in a certain sense of the word but there is embedded love in that lust. 

My film is about seeking pleasure and it is also about the fact that its not a man's right to pleasure but also a women's right. And if you want to read between the lines or the sheets then i totally give you the onus to do that."

Zoya who's story stars Bhumi Pednekar as one of the lead said, "My story is about love and lust but it the concept is about class in India, the way we percieve it and what it means to us when we are attracted to someone."

Rajinikanth's upcoming gangster movie Kaala Karikalan's second poster was released today. It features Rajnikanth in his signature swag, sitting on a car. The film will release on 7^th June, contrary to popular belief that it has been postponed.

The main plot of 'Kaala' revolves around the oppressed Tamils of Mumbai, and Rajinikanth will be playing the role of a feared and revered don. The movie also features Huma Qureshi, Nana Patekar, Anjali Patil and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles.

This is the first time when legendary actor Nana Patekar will be seen sharing screen space with the one and only - Rajinikanth.

Directed by Pa Ranjith and produced by Rajnikanth's son in law, Dhanush, the movie is slated to release on June 7.

John along with director Abhishek Sharma were present for a promotional interview in Mumbai. 

Talking about JA entertainment his own production house he said he is looking forward to working with Abhishek on another project in future.

"If people think about JA entertainment, like they will definitely bring something different, I think that is important. And what we have thought about after this maybe when Abhishek is free from Zoya factor. When we will get to that it will also be very different. I think it is very important to keep shocking the audience."

When asked if he ever thought playing a role out of action genre in Parmanu was a big risk to take, John said, "I think I did madras cafe also in the past and I have done films which have been very risky for my career like water no smoking, Kabul express. A big producer that I idealize, Aditya Chopra once told me that my most intelligent choices are the ones that are different so I believe that Parmanu is that different choice and I want to continue making such different choices." 

Director Abhishek said, John is passionate and hungry for new content. "It was a delight directing John he is very passionate and the best thing about him is he will give himself away to the director. He keeps asking for time to prep and be through with the character. Also he is hungry to do new content, its not like he has a certain image so he will only do certain characters, if the story excites him he will do it."

When talking about the film that is based on real incidents Abhishek said, "Its inspired by true events but the characters are fictional. the plot taken in the film is completely real, almost 80-85% of the incident that took place back then in part of the story."

Arjun Rampal, who has had his fair share of flops and hits in his career, says from outside it might look easy, but it is not. Talking about fact and reality of film Industry, he said, “People from outside think it is all easy, you know, sit in AC van, put on good clothes and give a shot, it might look easy but it is not that easy. I think, in every profession, you have to work really hard, you have to learn about the profession, you have to better your skill and talent, and bring it to the forefront”

“How you can challenging yourself and surprise the audience, your understanding of the box-office, audience, and budgeting of the film. Considering all these factors, it is not as easy as it looks. It is a very tough job because when you find success, you get a lot of applause and appreciation, but when you don’t find success; you get a beat-down and criticism”

Further adding, Arjun said, “So that is why I think it is not as glamorous, you have to be really disciplined to be part of this industry”

Rampal's next scheduled summer release of 2018 is JP Dutta's war film "Paltan" based on the Indo-Sinian war of 1962 in which he will be seen in an ensemble cast alongside Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Choudhry, Jackie Shroff.

John said the most exciting thing about Parmanu's trailer release was it being perceived as a commercial film. "The response we are getting is very positive. People are saying Parmanu is a different and very interesting film. The most exciting thing people are saying is it looks like a commercial film. People thought of it as an engaging thriller. I think that's the plus we are getting right now, people are waiting for something big to happen in the film and, that's very exciting."

Director Abhishek Sharma said he believes the film has already created a buzz and will excite the audience more by the time of its release.

"I was sure that the subject should appeal to the people but I think the way the trailer has been cut and the way it has been marketed by John's team and the way people are reacting even to the film's song it feels amazing. Sachin Jigar has given us great music, Shubh Din the first song out was trending and now the second song, Jitni Dafa is also trending on social media. Subh Din really took the trailer forward and now with each song coming out it will peak the film's interest.

As many comments, I have read on YouTube and social media it tells me people are looking forward to this film and yes maybe we didn't get enough time for publicity but we will make up for it with good content material."

The first installment of Race was released in 2008, helmed by Abbas-Mustan and produced under the Tips Films banner. The movie featured an ensemble of Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif and Sameera Reddy in pivotal roles.

And now with Race 3 is out with its trailer, which is making reaching the pinnacle of popularity, Sameera Reddy says, “Salman Khan is rocking it in Race 3. The amount of promotion and shouting we did for the first Race film, I think Race 3 is going to take over Race 1 and Race 2. I really can’t wait to see Salman Khan on screen”

Due to the format of Race franchise, the ensemble keeps changing and Sameera Reddy isn’t too happy about it. She still wishes to be part of the hit franchise.

She said, “I always miss the Race. I think every time I see Race, I feel bad because I am like, wow what a memory! I think we didn’t even know while we made Race 1, it will be such a huge hit. And how my character and Anil Kapoor’s character will be remembered, it was amazing. I feel that I want to be part of Race franchise again but alas”

The first trailer for Netflix’s Lust Stories was launched yesterday. The venture unites India’s biggest directors - Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee and Karan Johar - for a truly international anthology film.

Bhumi Pednekar features in Zoya Akhtar’s segment and talks about her experience. She said, “When I got a call from Zoya Akhtar, I was literally jumping in my bed because she was on my wish-list for the longest time. I was so excited and when she shared the story with me, I was like, oh my god, I have to do this because I am constantly looking for newer characters, newer stories, newer emotions to fell, newer boundaries to break and the story did it all for me”

“It speaks about so many biases that we have and we don’t even know they exist. We just look through them and walk on with life, and Zoya in her own sweet and nice manner along with the story has highlighted that”

This is first-time Actress Bhumi Pednekar will feature on digital platform Netflix. Talking about reaching the audience far and beyond, she said, “As actors and filmmakers, we want our stories to reach as many people as possible, and Netflix is one of such platforms. I think the digital audience is braver and more accepting towards new content. They are looking for new stories."

The film "Lust Stories" will release on June 15.

Four Indian filmmakers Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar and Dibakar Banerjee, have come together for the anthology "Lust Stories", which will be out on Netflix next month on 15th June.

The Salman Khan starrer Race 3 is also releasing on 15th June and will clash with Anthology, Lust Stories. The filmmaker Karan Johar sets the record straight and denies all the rumors about “fight”, “Clash” or “Competing” with mainstream action mogul.

Karan said, “Of course not, Salman Khan is on a different platform, he is the big master of big mainstream cinema. Race 3 is going to be a humongous film, it is a franchise film, and it is totally a different film with a different syntax. We’re not competing or fighting, we’re out of the league to fight with Salman Khan”  

“We’re just very happy four filmmakers, who made a tiny little film. And we are grateful to Netflix for accepting it. We are not competing with anyone; we don’t have the right to compete with the magnitude of Salman Khan. I would probably go and watch Race 3 on 15th, then Lust Stories”

Speaking about the quality he would like to see in an intern or an upcoming talent, Manish Malhotra said "I am always on a lookout for someone who will give importance to their passion and how much they are willing to learn. They need to be willing to be out there and how much are they giving it their own."

He further shared what he is wary about when it comes to those designers who are only starting out in the field. He said, "At times you have an intern who has great qualifications, but they become so aware of their talent and education and that's the first sign that it won't work."

Directed by Shaad Ali, the movie also stars Diljit Dosanjh, Chitrangda Singh, Taapsee Pannu and is an Indian biographical film based on the life of hockey player Sandeep Singh.

Sandeep Singh is an ace hockey player and an ex-captain of the Indian National Team. While the film isn’t a biopic, it explores an important chapter of Sandeep’s life which would be portrayed. Apparently, the film will be a love story of two hockey players and their relationship.

Soorma tells the story of the international hockey player Sandeep Singh, played by Diljit Dosanjh, who was paralyzed and used a wheelchair for two years after an accidental gun-shot injured him in 2006.

Mile 22 is an upcoming action thriller film directed by Peter Berg and written by Lea Carpenter and Graham Roland. The film stars Mark Wahlberg, John Malkovich, Lauren Cohan, Iko Uwais, and Ronda Rousey.

The story of the film revolves around an elite American intelligence officer trying to secretly move a police officer with sensitive information out of a foreign country and all hell breaks loose!

Iko Uwais, known for his role in The Raid films, stars as Li Noor - the police officer they have to get out of the country - who may prove to be the squad's most dangerous weapon as he plays.

Also appearing in the action film are John Malkovich, The Walking Dead's Lauren Cohan, and Ronda Rousey.

Filled with explosions, gunfights, and kung fu, Mile 22 promises to be an action-packed thrill ride. 

The film is scheduled to be released on August 3, 2018.

Meghna first came with a film like Talvar and now Raazi. There have been other female directors coming out with high content-driven films like Lipstik under my Burkha by Alankrita, Manto by Nandita Das, and Gauri Shinde films like, 'Dear Zindagi', 'English Vinglish'.

When asked to talk about the era of women directors begin able to succeed with content driven films, Meghna said, "The era is very great but I don't think all the credit should only go to the women directors. If we don't call male directors- male directors why do we have to call us female directors? I think our directors today are just making good films and that is because of the producers and studios are now not afraid to act out of the box content. Which is why more different content based films are coming out and they are being made by women and men alike. the big deal and the most important thing is that good films are being made."
