​Bohemian Rhapsody based on Freddie Mercury from Queen

#BohemianRhapsody is an upcoming biographical musical drama film that focuses on the 15-year period from the formation of the band #Queen up to their performance at Live Aid in 1985, with particular focus to the band's lead singer #FreddieMercury.

The is written by Anthony McCarten, the film stars Rami Malek as Mercury, with Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joseph Mazzello, Aidan Gillen, Tom Hollander, and Mike Myers in supporting roles.

The film traces the formation of band Queen and their music, and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury, who defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet.

The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near-implosion as Mercury's lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. The film started shooting under the direction of Bryan Singer but after months of filming, Singer was fired for being absent from the production on multiple occasions and clashing with the cast and crew.
Dexter Fletcher was hired shortly after to complete filming and post-production. The film is scheduled to be released in the United States by 20th Century Fox on November 2, 2018.
