Titled Officer, the cop thriller will bring back Nagarjuna and RGV together after a gap of nearly two and half decades. The movie also stars Myra Sareen. The film is bankrolled by Sudeer Chandra and Ram Gopal Varma under the banner R Company.

Amidst all the reshuffling in Rajasthan, earlier it appeared that the actor might have to spend few more days in Jodhpur prison, but Judge granted him bail and the actor soon will return to Mumbai.

The hearing on actor Salman Khan's application for bail and suspension of sentence in the 1998 black buck poaching case has been completed and the order has been passed, the actor is granted bail.

Khan's release was ordered on a bail bond of Rs.50,000. The court also allowed suspension of sentence during the pendency of Salman's appeal against his conviction.

District and Sessions Judge Ravindra Kumar Joshi heard the arguments of prosecution and defence which lasted for about an hour, defence Counsel Mahesh Bora said.Khan's sisters - Alvira and Arpita - were present during the hearing.

The actor was on Thursday convicted by a trial court and sentenced to five years in prison for killing two black bucks during the shooting of "Hum Saath Saath Hain".

Tamannaah said this on Friday while interacting with the media before the final rehearsal for the opening ceremony of IPL on Saturday.

When asked Ishaan how does it feel to make Bollywood debut with a film which looks so real and working with acclaimed Iranian director like Majid Majidi, Ishaan said, “It feels beyond the clouds’”.

‘Beyond the Clouds’ is Majid Majidi’s first Indian production so when asked Majidi why he chose India as a country to debut as a director apart from Iranian films and what was his search behind it, he said, “I have many memories with this location and I have shot one portion of this at this venue as well. I am grateful to people who have supported us throughout shooting of this film. People of India are very loving and kind and I think culturally also, I connected with them really well because we also share similar kind of culture back in Iran."

Rajkummar Rao interacted with media to promote ‘Omerta’ on Friday in Mumbai.

When asked Rao whether makers of this film trying to glorify terrorist activities, he said, “It is not the case with this film. We are not trying to glorify the heinous act done by these terrorists. In fact, I think this film will create awareness among people who don’t have much knowledge about this issue. Any filmmaker don’t make a film with the motive to hurt sentiments of people or to create a controversy through a film because there is thousand of people’s hard work and lot of money at stake to make a film so, no one will want to have controversy on a project which is made with lot of heart.”

When asked Rao what prompted him to play dark character of terrorist Omar Saeed Sheikh, he said, “As an actor, we get very fascinated with villains sometimes. If you see, Shah Rukh (Khan) sir has played grey or negative character in ‘Baazigar’  and ‘Darr’, Aamir (Khan) sir in ‘Earth’,  Sanjay Dutt in ‘Khalnayak’ and recently, Ranveeer Singh in ‘Padmaavat’. There is something edgy about these villains that we get attracted to as an artist. I don’t know if it’s about the power these characters has or the limitless approach that these characters have that we want to explore and it was same with me. I think I wanted to explore this villain inside me with film like ‘Omerta’ because I always played either grey characters or good boys and ‘Omerta’ gave me that opportunity.”

Talking about meaning of title and basic plot of the film, Rao said, “’Omerta’ means silence between the two people regarding certain thing and which they don’t share with anyone else so, in gangster term it is called ‘Omerta’ It’s a story of Omar Saeed Sheikh and many young people like him who gets brainwashed and be a part of terrorist activities. In last 15 years, if you see any big terrorist happening or attack which have taken place like 9/11 in America, Mumbai’s 26/11, Kandahar plane high jack, Kidnapping and Killing of American Journalist Daniel Pearl in all these incidents, Omar was part of that criminal conspiracy. It’s a thriller and a story of a world about which we don’t have much idea. It’s a fourth time I am collaborating with Hansal Mehta sir and whoever has seen it is saying that this is by far best film of Hansal Mehta sir.”

Comedian Kapil Sharma wrote a series of abusive, offensive and vulgar tweets addressed to anyone or everyone, who in the proximity. Starting with a particular media group and later abusing fans, who didn’t agree with the comedian!

The actor, who has been sentenced to five years in jail for killing two blackbucks, has spent two nights in the Jodhpur Central Jail. His bail plea was reserved for a day on Friday by Judge Ravindra Kumar Joshi, who has now been transferred to Sirohi.

The Defence lawyers have argued that the witness is unreliable as she lives two kilometers away from where the blackbucks were killed. They are claiming that it is not possible for anyone to reach the spot 2 km away just a moment after hearing the gunshots.

Prosecutors asserted in court that Salman should not be given the bail. They are arguing on the witness statement presenting it as a proof of why the actor should remain in jail.

The bail hearing for Salman Khan has begun. District & sessions court judge Ravindra Kumar Joshi is hearing the application.

The district and sessions court had on Friday heard the arguments on the suspension of sentence and bail application but had reserved its decision on Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's bail plea for today. The court had called for the records of the case from the trial court.

Salman's sister Alvira, and his bodyguard Shera have been allowed to go inside the court.

Ravindra Joshi, the Districts and Sessions Judge who was supposed to hear Salman's bail plea, was transferred by the Rajasthan High Court, as reported. The Rajasthan High Court transferred 87 other district judges as well.

Ravindra Joshi was supposed to hear Salman Khan's bail plea in Jodhpur Sessions court on Saturday but he was transferred last evening.

Salman Khan was sentenced to five years in jail for the killing of two blackbucks in Jodhpur in 1998. Salman and his co-actors, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre were charged under the Wildlife Protection Act for poaching two blackbucks while shooting for Hum Sath Sath Hain in Jodhpur.

Little Singham is presented by Rohit Shetty, in collaboration with Discovery Kids and produced by Reliance Animation and Rohit Shetty Pictures.

The cartoon show is based on Shetty’s hit Singham films, starring Ajay Devgn, and will be aired in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

The actor is most recognized for his role in the iconic film Sholay and Padosan along with many more.

Raj Kishore was seen essaying one of the prisoners in the film. He was 85-years old when he breathed his last in the wee hours of Friday morning.

As per the reports that are doing the rounds, the actor's funeral took place at Aarey Crematorium around 10:30 am. Some reports also suggest that he passed away at 1:30 am on Friday at his Mumbai residence.

Popular Singer Mika Singh shared a video on his timeline, where a group of men are beating a harmless kid and pointed out the obvious if Salman Khan can be convicted than people in the video should be punished as well.

Mika Singh wrote, "I respect our legal system but law should be same for all. If Salman Khan can be convicted though he is celebrity, then such people who are assaulting a poor guy and making a video of their criminal act should also be punished... They are safe because they are not Salman Khan."

A Jodhpur Court found Salman, guilty under Section 9/51 of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 for killing two blackbucks, an endangered species, hunting of which is prohibited by law. The incident took place in Kankani village near Jodhpur on October 1-2, 1998, during the shooting of Bollywood film "Hum Saath Saath Hain".

Dev (Irrfan) is seen late doodling in office after hours, before leaving he sends a text to his wife Reena (Kirti Kulhari). Day after day he sends the same message without a difference of a dot, 'Leaving now'. But his life changes the night he decides to take a advice from a friend (who can tell is a girl is virgin just by looking at her) and returns home early only to find his wife fooling around with another man.

Dev then thinks of ways to go on with the situation, either kill the wife or the lover, but ends up resorting to leaving the small apartment quietly, runs through streets and gives up within minutes, unlike stereotypical heroes. Instead of catching them red-handed he decides to blackmail Ranjit (Arunoday Singh), Reena's lover.

While the movie makes a good start it manages to stay afloat on the idea of realistic characters. Dev who is non-violent being after the harsh truth of his life becomes practical enough to save himself from the cops by twice using his friend as a human shield. The film ends with Dev getting away with the crime he influenced, committed and didn't commit.

The film brings forth every actor in a refreshing way and adds to the real tone of the film. The sloppy cinematography increases the film's relatability and music enhances the film's essence. 

Verdict: Plays out more than a life would but just enough to make you laugh along at the irony.

Samir Soni was interacting with media at Mumbai domestic airport when he was returning from Jodhpur after his wife Neelam Kothari acquitted from ‘Black Poaching Case’ along with Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre and Tabu on Thursday in Mumbai.

Salman Khan has been sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment after being found guilty by a Jodhpur court in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. One of Salman Khan's lawyers confirmed that the order will be pronounced at 10:30 am tomorrow by the Jodhpur Sessions Court. This means that Salman Khan will spend another night in the Jodhpur Central Jail.

If the actor's bail plea is rejected by the session’s court on Saturday then his lawyers are expected to move the Rajasthan High Court.

Khan's bail plea was moved before the session’s court by his counsel of lawyers soon after Chief Judicial Magistrate Dev Kumar Khatri convicted him for killing two blackbucks in Jodhpur in October 1998, on Thursday.

The actor has been awarded a five-year jail term, in addition to a fine of Rs 10,000.

Reading the order convicting Salman Khan for killing two blackbucks on the intervening night of October 1-2, 1998, the chief judicial magistrate on Thursday said that the actor killed the animals for enjoyment.

Actor Varun Dhawan who has worked in the remake of Salman Khan starrer superhit Judwaa, expressed his thought on Blackbuck case verdict on his social media account.

Now the legal consular of Salman Khan, Mr. Anand Desai has issued a statement stating that they respect court’s decision but preparing an appeal and the actor will be granted tomorrow.

It’s not something that happens by chance to me. I have to very consciously choose the kind of work I want to do. I don’t care about the image I have. What matters to me is that with every film, I am growing more and more as an actor, pushing and challenging myself that’s what I look for and upon that my choices are based”

Its long form stands for Launda Bhatindewala. It’s a new show where we have combined comedy with cricket. The effort is to make people laugh while giving them information about cricket matches and it will be whole new experience for the audience”

Few months ago, Sunil Grover parted ways with Kapil Sharma after their mid-air brawl when Kapil Sharma was returning from Australia with his ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ team, so when asked Sunil whether he will work with Kapil Sharma as entire country wants them to reconcile because since then,  Kapil Sharma is not up to the mark with his content because of mood swings and health issues, Sunil said, “I really had nice experience whenever I have worked with him. On 3^rd April, Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi made remarks urging the United Nations (UN) to intervene in ‘Indian Occupied Kashmir’ to stop the killing of ‘innocents’ via his tweet, reacting to his allegation on India, Loksabha MP Shatrughan Sinha said, “It is not right to politicize this issue. If anywhere, there are human rights violations and bloodshed in the world or especially in our country, then it is our responsibility to minimize and prevent it. It will lot depend on our will power and I am sure our government has that kind of will power and they are working on it and they have worked on it earlier as well which has been appreciated. I think we are moving in the right direction.”

When asked Kirti what prompted her do ‘Blackmail’ she said, “I haven’t done a comedy in a while and it’s not that I am doing comedy in the film but it’s just interesting to come back to sense of comedy timing. It’s different.. the way comedy films are treated as compared to serious films and I have done too much serious stuff with ‘Pink’ and  ‘Indu Sarkar’ so it was very refreshing for me to do something like ‘Blackmail’ where way of acting, delivering dialogues is different and timing of things is so important that’s why I agreed to ‘Blackmail’.

When asked Kirti what helps an actor to get more work  - box office success of a film or good performance ,she said, “It’s both actually.. but numbers always helps. I think more than the performance but it also depends. There are some people in the industry to whom what matters is how good the actor is but to other people it doesn’t matter what matters to them how much money did the film made and what kind of market this particular actor has so, both the things matters but in different degrees to different people. Having said that, if I have performed brilliantly and my film doesn’t do well at the box-office, it does reduce the chances of me getting good and more work so I am hoping that ‘Blackmail’ does well at the box-office.”

Arunoday Singh – I am very excited for the film. I missing Irrfan Khan at screening of this film and without him, the film wouldn’t have been the same the way it has shaped up. I think Pradhuman and Anuja also performed brilliantly in the film. I hope audience come to watch our film because I can assure them that it’s an incredible film.

Abhinay Deo – I am very excited for the release of the film. It’s a feeling of delivering your baby. We have been working on this film since last one and half year. We are certainly missing Irrfan Khan at the film’s screening. He hasn’t been with us for the promotion of the film but we are in touch with him and we regularly update him about the film. Amitabh Bachchan has given really positive review for this film and apart from him, other industry people and critics are giving positive review for the film but I am early waiting for audience reaction. I hope audience will go to watch movie because I think it’s a different kind of comedy. It’s my second attempt after ‘Dellly Belly’ in comedy. It’s a U/A certified film but I think Irrfan Khan has delivered one of the best performance from his career and I can proudly say that its best film from my career.

Kirti Kulhari - I am super excited for the film’s release. I have already seen it yesterday so now, I am even more excited after watching the film. I think it’s a superbly funny and quirky film. I think we all have been missing Irrfan (Khan) for a while now and we really wish he was with us. We have been getting positive reviews for the film and lot of people think that I have been bold in making choice like ‘Blackmail’ and the kind of character I am playing in it. Trailer of the film received great reactions from audience and I think the film offers much more than its trailer so I hope people will go to watch the film.

Anuja Sathe – I am very excited for the film and today we have organized screening for industry people and media. We have worked very hard for this film. We have been getting good reviews for the film and I hope audience will like the film. I am missing Irrfan Khan at the screening of the film. I really had great experience working with him in the film. We both have started our career from television so we used to have conversation about that while we were shooting for the film. My character is very twisted in the film so, people are not finding my character rude and I feel that’s a compliment for me.”

Parmanu- The Story of Pokhran is an ode to the Indian army and scientists, who despite being ordinary people, accomplished truly extraordinary feats in the face of adversity. It salutes, celebrates and truly embraces the slogan- Jai Jawan Jai Vigyan. While the premise of the film is based on true events, the characters are fictitious.

The official Twitter handle of T-Series shared the first look and release date on social media. The film is directed by Milap Zaveri and features debutante Aisha Sharma in the lead. The film is co-produced by Emmay Entertainment.

The director Milap Zaveri also shared his excitement about the film on social media. The film is said to be a racy thriller with heavy “dialogue baazi” between John and Manoj.

Actress Taapsee took to her social media account and shared a picture. She is looking pretty and beautiful in blue dress standing by the railing. The king of neo-noir cinema, Anurag Kashyap, is known for this love for violence and abuses, but this time around the director is back with a love story, Manmarziyan, which boasts a stellar cast. The movie stars Vicky Kaushal, Taapse Pannu and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead roles.

The film has been making headlines ever since its announcement in 2016. Earlier it was supposed to be directed by Sameer Sharma, who had shot some portions of the film, but Rai was not happy with the rough cut and stopped the shooting. He then approached Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari to direct it, but she could not do it because of her "prior commitments".

Initially, it was reported by the media that Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar and Dulquer Salmaan were cast in the film, but they were dropped out of the film.

The upcoming sports biopic, Soorma is based on the life of hockey player Sandeep Singh, directed by Shaad Ali.The film stars Diljit Dosanjh, Tapsee Pannu and Angad Bedi in the lead.

“Tiger Zinda Hai” Actor Angad Bedi just took to his social media account and shared a picture with Punjabi sensation Diljit to confirm the wrap of the film.

He wrote, “It’s a wrap on #soorma it’s been real. Formed a special bond with @diljitdosanjh a pure and genuine soul. Loved every bit of the time spent with you #Dosanjhwala keep rising and keep shining. Waheguru.”

Soorma tells the story of the international hockey player Sandeep Singh, played by Diljit Dosanjh, who was paralyzed and wheelchair-bound for two years after an accidental gunshot, injured him in 2006.

The film’s tagline is “The Greatest Comeback Story of the Hockey Legend Sandeep Singh”. Fighting against all odds, Sandeep got back on his feet and made a comeback to international hockey in 2008. India won the 2009 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup under his captaincy and went on to qualify for the 2012 Olympics.

Anupam Kher is up for a Best Supporting Actor in the British Academy Television Awards this year, for his role in the BBC TV movie The Boy With The Topknot.
