​Salman Khan – Found Guilty In Blackbuck Poaching Case

Actor #SalmanKhan has been convicted in blackbuck poaching case and others have been acquitted.

A Jodhpur court on Thursday convicted Bollywood actor Salman Khan in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. The other actors - Tabu, Neelam, Saif Ali Khan and Sonali Bendre have been acquitted.

Salman, has been accused of killing two blackbucks in Bhagoda ki Dhani in Kankani village near Jodhpur on the intervening night of October 1-2, 1998. He was in Jodhpur then along with his co-stars to shoot Sooraj Barjatya's movie Hum Saath Saath Hain.

Salman is facing charges under Section 9/51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act for which the minimum punishment is one year and the maximum is six years in jail.

The quantum of punishment is yet to be announced and the court's verdict will be a cause of great concern to Bollywood as crores of rupees are at stake.

Salman Khan has close to 1000 crore riding on him in terms of movies, Televisoin and Brand endorsements. If the actor is jailed the movie industry stands to lose massive investments.
The actor Salman Khan is currently involved with projects like Race 3 and Bharat along with third instalment of “Dabangg’ in his kitty.

Salman has TV show Dus Ka Dum scheduled to go on air in the next few months. Moreover, the makers of Bigg Boss would love to have him as the host of the twelfth season of the reality show.
