Kareena interacted with media after Grand Finale of Lakme Fashion Week on Sunday.  

Talking about the night being special for her Kareena she said, " This time it was definitely more special also because of the dress. I did for the first time feel like the ultimate diva. I did obviously feel that before but, it is all because of Monisha her touch of glamour and I don't know you just make women feel sexy which is great."

The event also marked the launch of Kareena Kapoor Khan by Lakme Absolute a co-curated makeup line by the actress. The new range of premium makeup products is Kareena’s first ever make-up line.

When talking about launching the range she said, "Coming back to Lakme and having this wonderful association. what better than this ot launch my collection tonight. It is very special because I have never really done anything, Everyone asked me how come makeup but I think makeup is a women's best friend. Every little girl wants to put kajal or lipstick. I mean I was trying out makeup when I was four. so now to actually have my own line and that too with such an amazing brand in beauty like Lakme, I feel absolutely honored tonight."

The new range of premium makeup products called, ‘Kareena Kapoor Khan by Lakmé Absolute’is Kareena’s first ever makeup line and it’s absolutely breathtaking! The actor who condemned the violence in Shillong took to twitter on Monday to share his thoughts on the resent Ekta Kapoor release. "There are heroes in this film. They are female. It’s unfortunate that the word ‘hero’ evolved to be masculine given that it’s actually gender neutral. Definition: a person who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. And congratulations."

Farhan Akhtar reacted to a actor Swara Bhaskar tweet that read,"Veere Di Wedding opens to 10.70 crores day 1! Third highest opener this year! A film without a hero and adult rated! Clearly the future is female."

When dedicating the film's success to the producers Swara said, "Ekta (Kapoor) deserves every credit for having pushed and backed this film. Rhea and Ekta have really done a tremendous job in making this film. And I think there was this notion in Bollywood that the masala commercial space is like the male bastion in terms of opening and 'Veere Di Wedding' has made a small crack in the glass ceiling with these amazing opening numbers. Now people won't be able to say female stars cant bring great opening numbers on box office."

The multi starrer is co-produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, Anil Kapoor Films & Communication Network, and Saffron Broadcast & Media Ltd

On reacting to everyone's feedback on the film Swara said she is happy to see people appreciate the film."The audience is really excited and happy when leaving the theater and the biggest thing is people are coming out feeling very positive and with high energy. Everyone is loving everyone's performances. "

"I don't really know how to calculate the numbers and what they mean but I am thankful for the kind of numbers we are getting. For me it really means that people are watching and appreciating what we have done and as an artist, I am happy with that," she added.

The director. along with other celebrities and the film's cast and crew attended the special screening on 'Veere di Wedding' on Wednesday  

Johar on twitter praised the film and tweet to Ekta , "To my beautiful and close friend @ektaravikapoor ! Kudos ! With @altbalaji you have pushed boundaries and the envelope !! And with #VeereyDiWedding you have torn the envelope! May the force of content always be with you!"

Ekta Kapoor who is producing the film later responded to the tweet, " Iv learnt from d best! U continue to inspire!!! N we can hoook up n ‘ cook’ up a new envelope if ur ‘ raazi’"

While Ekta and Kareena were missing, Veere di Wedding actors Swara Bhaskar, Sikha Talsania, Sonam Kapoor. and producer Rhea Kapoor was present at the screening. Sonam's father, Anil Kapoor, husband Anand Ahuja,  uncle Boney Kapoor and sister Khushi and Jhanvi Kapoor were also present at the show. 

Kareena's co-star Sumit Vyas was seen entering the venue with girlfriend Ekta Kaul. Followed by 'Lipstick under my Burkha' actress Aahana Kumra. Other Veere di Wedding actors present were Swara Bhaskar, Sikha Talsania, and Sonam Kapoor. While Ekta and Kareena were missing, producer Rhea Kapoor was present at the screening.

Rajkummar Rao was attended the of Veere di Wedding screening with girlfriend Patralekha. Rajkummar was then seen interacting with filmmaker and director Karan Johar.  Other actors seen at the show were Manoj Pahwa, Seema Pahwa, Sanjay Kapoor, wife Maheep Kapoor and actor Nikhil Trivedi, Kunal Rawal and Mohit Raina. 

Sonam's father, Anil Kapoor, husband Anand Ahuja,  uncle Boney Kapoor and sister Khushi and Jhanvi Kapoor were also present at the show. Directors like Imtiyaz Ali, R. Balki, Race 3 co-stars Daisy Shah, Boby Deol and Sonal Chauhan, Gauri Shinde, Richa Chadda.

On the cover, striking a pose and baring her sexy midriff and abs, Kareena looked gorgeous in a plaid crop top with red ruffle trim on the borders which she paired with a grey striped skirt. The gorgeous actresses star together for the first time in Veere Di Wedding which also stars Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania. The movie revolves around the friendship between the girl gang and their different perspectives on marriage.

Veere Di Wedding is a high spirited and upbeat coming of age story revolving around the lives of four childhood friends Kalindi (Kareena Kapoor), Avni (Sonam Kapoor), Meera (ShikhaTalsania) & Sakshi (Swara Bhaskar).

The four friends are reunited after ten years; only to realize how much life has changed from what they expected. The film is set against the backdrop of Delhi, where the girls are born and brought up, their trials and tribulations in modern day world, regarding family acceptance, marriage & societal perceptions.

Kareena was present in Mumbai for a promotional interview for the forthcoming film, "Veere Di wedding'.

Kareena Kapoor Khan who is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming film, 'Veere Di Wedding' was asked if she thinks the film will change the trend in films. "It's not about setting a trend but I definitely think that there will be a change in the way people think. The directors will know that now we can actually tell stories on friendship and love from a girls point of view."

When asked about the positive response the film's trailer has been receiving, Kareena said, "People loved the trailer because of the language used is very different. 'Veere Di Wedding' is a very progressive film. We have seen such film from the hero's point of view if it is 'Dil Chata Hai' or 'Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara' and if you look at this film, this is the first time the story is about 4 childhood girlfriends and what they are going through in their life. Its the first time we are looking at it from the girl's point of view. When I read the script, I enjoyed it so much that I felt so excited. I wanted to see the film on the screen I wanted to see the film on the screen."

The Actress who has played a variety of roles from 'Chameli' to 'Udta Punjab' was asked which character she enjoyed the most and where does Kalandi stand. She said, "I really enjoyed playing Kalandi, because when working with hero's and in the last film also it was more about Arjun and me and what is nice about this film is that it is about our characters and I hadn't worked with 4 female actors before so it was really fun."

Talking about the film, Kareena said, “ I think the story is something I got completely obsessed by and I thought it was really cool. And I think who better than this entire team, to put this film together. So I think this was the reason I wanted to do Veere Di Wedding. And as far as my character, Kalindi is concerned, I think she is a really cool character and there is a reason why she is commitment phobic, which we will be seen in the film”

Further adding about her character, she said, “She (character) is not commitment-phobic that made me picked up the role. I think what made me take up this part, for me, as a commercial mainstream actor, who is always used to work with mainstream actors, be it Shahrukh Khan or Salman Khan. For me, it was very different to be part of a film with four girls”  

Kareena Kapoor is known for working with A-list actors in Bollywood, but this time around she is paired opposite TVC actor Sumeet Vyas.

Sharing her funniest memories on the sets, actor Kareena said, “I think it would be throwing Sumeet Vyas off the moon in the film. I think that was quite funny because I have never done that in my career. I never had the opportunity to throw a hero off from a moon. So thank you, everyone, for giving me this chance, I am sure it will go down in history”

Ekta Kapoor along side  producers Reha Kapoor and star of the film, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, and Shikha Talsania were present at the music launch of the film on Tuesday.

When talking about what is special about the film lead by four female actors, Swara Bhaskar, "It has been 105 years to our industry and first time mainstream Bollywood is making such an Hindi film in which has the life story of four girls who are friends and nobody is falling in love with the same guy, and that is what is special about the film."

Kareena Kapoor Khan who has worked opposite A lister actors like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan when asked how different was the expreience this time with the film she said, "I have chosen the A-lister heroines this time."

The 'Udta Punjab' actress while talking about feminism said she is as proud to be called Saif wife as she is of herself.  "I believe in equality, I wouldn't say I am a feminist but I would say I am a woman but above all, I am a human being. I am as proud to be a known as Saif Ali Khan's wife as I am to be Kareena Kapoor."

When asked which is the funniest moment in the film that she loved to shoot, Kareena reminisced throwing Sumeet Vyas of the moon prop scene which can be seen in the film's trailer.She said, "I have never had the opportunity to throw a hero off the moon so thank you, scriptwriters, for giving me this chance. I think it is going to go down in history."

Know to not shy away from the media when it comes to talking about her personal life is said to be playing the role of a commitment phobic when asked what drove her to chose such a different character she said, "The thing that made me take up this role was that I think for a commercial mainstream who has always worked with other mainstream actors like Shah Rukh or Salman for me it was very different to be a part of a film with four girls. The story is what I got completely obsessed with and I thought it was really cool I think who better than this entire team, to put this film together. This was the reason I wanted to do this film, and as far as Kalindi (her character name) is concerned, she is a really cool character and there is a reason why she is commitment phobic which we will see in the film."

Talking about India living in contradiction, where we talks about values and modernism and yet at the same time, women constantly need to remind about her life and needs. Swara’s reply is epic, she said, “The contradiction will always be there, you talk about any society or within us, so it will reflect in our movies as well. I am saying this every single day, it has become my Nara (Slogan) but I think it is important to say this, it has been 105 years since our film Industry came to existence, and this is the first time we are making a film in main-stream cinema about four female friends, it is their life story and none is falling in love with the same guy. So this is most special and unique thing about this film”

Ekta Kapoor, who is also the co-producer of the film added that film has already covered its cost and they are looking at a clean run.

Talking about the film, Ekta said, “Actually I love this film. I trust the producer and I have four stellar leading women in the film. I have always picked a script which was not a hit on paper but on release became super successful. Like when I made the Dirty picture, I was told this film is a flop. How can you make a film with Vidya Balan playing a heroine that too be an item number girl? When the film released my mom hugged me and told me this is an outstanding film. The movie has cleared most of its cost and we’re looking a great clean run. I think I am a happy producer”

The new number is a fusion of folk and western, which is crooned by Divya Kumar and Jasleen Royal, with rap from Enbee, and written and composed by White Noise.
