#KareenaKapoorKhan believes #VeereDiWedding, which talks about four childhood girlfriends, will change the way directors look at stories based on friendship.
Kareena was present in Mumbai for a promotional interview for the forthcoming film, "Veere Di wedding'.
Kareena Kapoor Khan who is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming film, 'Veere Di Wedding' was asked if she thinks the film will change the trend in films. "It's not about setting a trend but I definitely think that there will be a change in the way people think. The directors will know that now we can actually tell stories on friendship and love from a girls point of view."
When asked about the positive response the film's trailer has been receiving, Kareena said, "People loved the trailer because of the language used is very different. 'Veere Di Wedding' is a very progressive film. We have seen such film from the hero's point of view if it is 'Dil Chata Hai' or 'Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara' and if you look at this film, this is the first time the story is about 4 childhood girlfriends and what they are going through in their life. Its the first time we are looking at it from the girl's point of view. When I read the script, I enjoyed it so much that I felt so excited. I wanted to see the film on the screen I wanted to see the film on the screen."
The Actress who has played a variety of roles from 'Chameli' to 'Udta Punjab' was asked which character she enjoyed the most and where does Kalandi stand. She said, "I really enjoyed playing Kalandi, because when working with hero's and in the last film also it was more about Arjun and me and what is nice about this film is that it is about our characters and I hadn't worked with 4 female actors before so it was really fun."
'Veere di wedding', directed by Shashanka Ghosh revolves around four friends attending a wedding. The film stars Kareena Kapoor as one of the leads who is getting married, along with friends as Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, and Shikha Talsania who have their own stories to tell.
Presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, Anil Kapoor Films & Communication Network and Saffron Broadcast & Media Ltd the film is scheduled to release on 1st June.
