Dharma Productions in association with Cape Of Good Films pulled a casting heist for an upcoming drama film, titled #GoodNews, the movie stars #AkshayKumar, #KareenaKapoorKhan, #KiaraAdvani and #DiljitDosanjh.
Akshay Kumar took to his social media profile and shared the exciting news. He wrote, “Good News! That's the name of our film and so is the news I am sharing :) It is a ‘dramedy’ Due Date 19th July 2019. #GoodNews @karanjohar @apoorvamehta18 #KareenaKapoorKhan @diljitdosanjh @Advani_Kiara @raj_a_mehta @ShashankKhaitan @DharmaMovies #CapeOfGoodFilms.”
The film will be helmed by Raj Mehta, associate of Shahshan Khaitan, who is currently enjoying his massively successful Dhadak.
This film will mark the return the Kareena Kapoor and Akshay Kumar pair, after 2009's Kambakkht Ishq. The actress, however, has previously made special appearances in two of Akshay Kumar's films — Gabbar Is Back and Brothers. The Akshay-Kareena starrer is expected to go on floors by the end of this year.
Kiara Advani is fast becoming favorite of Karan Johar, who is casting the actress after Lust Stories, a segment of which was helmed by Karan, and Kalank, this would be her third collaboration with the filmmaker.
The film is slated for 2019 release.
