Actress #KanganaRanaut who is busy shooing for her forthcoming film #ManikarnikaTheQueenofJhansi has said that being or playing character of damsel in distress doesn’t look convincing on her personality.
Kangana Ranaut was interacting with media at Vogue Beauty Awards 2018 on Tuesday in Mumbai.
Kangana has really strong screen presence in her films like ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ series. Now, she is playing character of Queen of Jhansi who is leading example of bravery and courage and off the screen also, it reflects in her personality, talking about it, she said, “I have been very confident person from the beginning even when as a kid, I was confident. I don’t like to be damsel in distress which some girls do it really well and they benefit also a lot from that but it is not in my case. I don’t look myself convincing in that role”
Kangana Ranaut has worked with Priyanka Chopra in Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Fashion’, since then, they share close both with each other. There were reports that Priyanka Chopra ia getting married to singer Nick Jonas, when asked Kangana whether she had word with Priyanka about it, she said, “I spoke to Priyanka the other day and I congratulated her. She seems very excited and happy about that so, if such an event is taking place then I would love celebrate with her because she is lovely and she deserves all the happiness. She is very close and dear friend of mine. I get very happy and excited when it comes to weddings and engagements. It is pretty much like ‘begani shadi mein Abdulla deewana’ (getting happy in someone else happiness).”
When asked Kangana whether Priyanka has shared her wedding date with her, she said, “No.. she hasn’t shared her wedding with me” .
When asked Kangana what is secret of her beauty, she said, “I try to be healthy and I do yoga when I can. I try to make good choices when it comes to eating”.
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is an epic biographical film based on the life of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. It is being directed by Krish and produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain & Nishant Pitti.
Kangana Ranaut plays the titular role of Rani Laxmibai in the film. It also stars Sonu Sood and Ankita Lokhande in pivotal roles.
