Actor #AnilKapoor, who is gearing up for the release of his forthcoming film #FanneyKhan has said that audience will be able experience bromance between #RajkummarRao’s and his character in the film.
Anil Kapoor was interacting with media at the special screening of ‘Fanney Khan’ along with Divya Dutta, Divya Kohsla Kumar, Pihu Sand, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Atul Manjrekar, Girish Kulkarni and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on Tuesday in Mumbai.
Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao are working with each other for the first time in ‘Fanney Khan’, talking about their chemistry in the film, Kapoor said, “We both are friends in the film and we have some age gap between us but still, we are friends. I think after long time, audience will be able to see bromance between our characters. Rajkummar Rao and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is also friends in this film so, there are many interesting scenes between three of us”
Talking about message that ‘Fanney Khan’ will give the audience, Kapoor said, “I think it’s a film which has message that whether you are in school, college or office, you should look into his or her’s internal qualities rather than external qualities. I think you should see soul of a human being and that is message of the film. After long time, a film is releasing which has good music, story and performances. This film is made by good people and when good people make a film then, result of the film is also good”
Kapoor also hoped that ‘Fanney Khan’ will be remembered by audience for long span of time, he said, “I have done so many films in my career and some of them are super hits at the box-office but they aren’t remembered by audience on the other hand, there are some film which haven’t done good business but after 25-30 years also, they are still fresh in audience mind and I hope ‘Fanney Khan’ will be remembered by audience for its music or certain scenes. I think this film will make audience laugh and it will entertain them”
Sharnig his experience working with director Atul Manjrekar in the film, Kapoor said, “Firstly, I was very nervous that new director Atul Manjrekar is directing the film and it is produced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra who has directed films like ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, ‘Dehli 6’ and ‘Rang De Basanti’. He has worked with Sonam (Kapoor) and Harshvardhvan (Kapoor) so, he told me that ‘I want to cast you in my film’ so, I felt that he will be directing the film but he said ‘a new director will direct this film’ then I told him that ‘I will not do this film and you should direct the film’ then he advised me to meet Atul Manjrekar. ‘Fanney Khan’ is an adaption of Oscar nominated Belgium film so, when I heard narration from Atul about this film, I thought that I should do this film”
Recently, Anil Kapoor appeared in Salman Khan’s show ‘Dus Ka Dum’ to promote ‘Fanney Khan’, talking about response to that show, Kapoor said, “Today when I met few people they told me that they really like that show. Audience enjoyed banter between me and Salman Khan in ‘Dus Ka Dum’. When you have friendship and love with a person then, it transpires in the work as well so, I am really happy that people liked that show”
‘Fanney Khan’ is a musical comedy film, directed by debutant Atul Manjrekar and prodiuced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. It features Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles.
It is an official remake of the Belgian film ‘Everybody's Famous!’. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on 3 August 2018.
