Finally it is happening; #AjayDevgn is all geared up to make a historic biopic titled #Taanaji, which chronicles the life of unsung warrior from the glorious Indian history.
The official handle of T-series confirmed the association with Ajay Devgn on their social media profile. It said, “#BhushanKumar & @ajaydevgn join hands for #TAANAJI, a costume drama that will showcase the life of this unsung warrior of glorious Indian history, who fought for his people, his soil & his King Chhatrapati Shivaji. Directed by #OmRaut. Goes on floors end of September.”
Taanaji, a glorious Maratha warrior, who fought for his people, his soil and his King Chhatrapati Shivaji, finally gets a film. The project will be helmed by Om Raut and will have Ajay Devgn playing the titular role of a warrior.
Ajay Devgn released the official poster for the film a little while ago on his social media profile. He wrote, “He fought for his People, his Soil & his King Chhatrapati Shivaji. The unsung warrior of glorious Indian history, Subedar Taanaji Malusare.”
‘Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior’ - Devgn will now be seen taking up a sword, shield and heading out to the frontline for his role as the unsung warrior Subedar Taanaji Malusare, who fought alongside Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj. The film is slated to release in 2019.
The film is expected to go on the floors on 25 September after Devgn wraps up the shoot for comedy Total Dhamaal, directed by Indra Kumar.
Ajav Devgn is also busy with Chankaya biopic.
