Zoya Akhtar directorial is based on rapping and it has drama, passion, struggle, and a story of an underdog, who makes it to the top with sheer dedication and craft.
Actor Ranveer Singh as a rapper is fighting his inner demons and his chemistry with Alia is one of the highlights of the trailer. The movie also stars Kalki Koechlin and Vijay Raaz in pivotal roles.
The film is based on the life of Divine and Naezy (Naved Shaikh), underground rappers from Mumbai. It chronicles the life and struggles of rapper Divine - its name is inspired by his breakout song, Mere Gully Mein - and his troupe of street rappers, who go by the name ‘Gully Gang’.

The famous and popular kids’ comic and magazine Tinkle has featured Ranveer Singh’s Simmba avatar on their special January edition and the actor is over the moon with his fondest memories from childhood shaping into reality.

You have to earn through hard work to be a part of Rohit Shetty film
#RanveerSingh who has been very vocal about his love for the 'Golmaal' director, said he had to work hard and do good work to earn his spot in the #RohitShetty film.
Ranveer interacted with media at the trailer launch of the upcoming release, 'Simmba' on Monday alongside, director Rohit Shetty, producer Karan Johar actor Sara Ali Khan and more.
When asked why it took so long for Ranveer and Rohit to collaborate, Ranveer said, "You cannot just be a part of Rohit sir's film. You have to earn it, work hard and do good work then someday you will get the opportunity which I got. I was hoping, manifesting for a long time that I would get a chance to work with him and then we did an add together which became a big hit.
During the ad, I experienced his shooting process and wanted to be a part of his film by any means necessary. And I think it was during the ad's post then Rohit Sir told me about Simmba and that he would like to work with me."
Simmba's trailer shows the life of a corrupt cop who decides to go down the right path after a tragic experience. To everyone's surprise, the trailer also shows Ajay Devgan's character Singham in the film.
When asked Singh about working with Ajay Devgan the original Cop hero, he said, "I am a very big fan of the Singham franchise and I grew up watching Ajay Sir's films. He is one of my favorite actors and screen idols. the true macho hero. He is a legend to be sharing space with him is nothing short of a dream for me.
To work with him was refreshing. He is so down to earth and is a very chilled out guy. I had the most wonderful experience and fond memories in my heart forever. This whole experience being a part of Simmba, Rohit sir's world, collaborating with Ajay Sir is really a dream come true."

Actress Kriti will appear with 'Simmba' star Ranveer in an advertisement commercial for paint brand Kansai Nerolac.
Talking about the opportunity Kharbanda in a statement said, "It's an honour to be part of such a prestigious brand that has existed for decades now and considered as the leader in their segment. It was a great opportunity to share the screen space with Ranveer and I had a whale of a time shooting with him for the commercial,"

Ranveer Singh will be the biggest star in coming days: Rohit Shetty
Filmmaker #RohitShetty, who is busy shooting for his forthcoming film #Simmba has said that lead actor of his forthcoming film, #RanveerSingh will be the biggest star of Hindi film industry in coming days.
Rohit Shetty was interacting with media at Jagran Cinema Summit 2018 on Friday in Mumbai.
Sharing his experience working with Ranveer Singh in ‘Simmba’ for the first time, Rohit said, “I am having best time working with him and the kind of energy he brings and the kind of sincerity he has is amazing. I am happy that I am presenting him as Ranveer Singh. He is not Khilji (Padmavaat) or Bajirao (Bajirao Mastani). He is playing mainstream hero for the first time. He is doing action and song in film and he is enjoying every bit of it. When we are shooting dramatic scene that time, he is like a kid who is hyper-active. He is a sincere boy. He can do comedy, action and dance. He will be the biggest star in the coming day because the kind of sincerity he has and the kind of actor he is.”
Rohit Shetty’s films are considered as commercial potboilers and more than giving a message he try to entertain the audience through his films but in ‘Singham 2’, he gave certain message to the audience talking about giving message through his films, he said, “We didn’t tried to give message as such in ‘Singham 2’ but we tried to go bit real in that film but we are now making ‘Simmba’ though it’s a remake and who have turned the whole script to something else. I think ‘Simmba’ has strong message though it is presented as a commercial film but I think it best written film of mine till today and now let the audience see and decide.”

Ranveer Singh in Prep Mode for 83 – Kabir Khan
Filmmaker #KabirKhan shared pictures of #RanveerSingh and cricketing legend, #SachinTendulkar posing at the Lord’s Cricket Ground and confirmed that prep-mode has started for the upcoming sports biopic 83.
Kabir Khan captioned the picture, “Sachin was 9 years old when he saw on television Kapil’s Devils win the World Cup in 1983 right here at this ground. That win inspired him to want to play for India.

“Padmaavat” actor #RanveerSingh is proud and excited to be part of multi starrer #Takht, which is announced today!
Dharma Production head Karan Johar just confirmed a historical magnum opus film titled Takht, starring Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
Confirming the film, Karan Johar wrote, “I am so excited and honoured to announce the lead cast of #TAKHT @RanveerOfficial #KareenaKapoorKhan @aliaa08 @vickykaushal09 @psbhumi #JanhviKapoor @AnilKapoor #HirooYashJohar @apoorvamehta18 @sumit_roy_ @hussainhaidry.”

Ranveer Singh – Shooting the Biggest Song Ever
#RanveerSingh is shooting for his first outing with #RohitShetty and the actor just confirmed that he is shooting for the biggest song of his career!
The dapper actor Ranveer took to his social media account and shared a video post from the sets of Simmba with filmmaker Rohit Shetty and dance master Ganesh Acharya. The trio is shooting for a song, which happens to be the biggest song for Gully Boy actor.
Ranveer Singh captioned the video, “SABSE BADA GAANA!!! #RohitShetty @Acharya1Ganesh #Simmba”.
In the video, Ranveer is seen saying, “look at what is happening here. The biggest song of life is being filmed here. So many people, so many props, that it is making my head dizzy. Boss is not held back this time”.
Rohit Shetty is currently shooting Simmba's title song titled Simmba Aala Re Aala at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. The movie also stars Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter Sara Ali Khan paired opposite Ranveer.

Ranbir Kapoor reacts to Ranveer Singh being first choice for ‘Sanju’
#RanbirKapoor has stepped into the shoes of #SanjayDutt for #Sanju, and how. If many had apprehensions about Ranbir pulling off a Sanjay Dutt on the big screen, it all changed after the trailer of Sanju hit the screens.
If Ranbir looks like a spitting image of Bollywood original bad boy, he has also nailed the accent and physique.
But it was only recently that producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra revealed that Ranbir was not the first choice for Sanju. He was keen to rope in Ranveer Singh to play Sanjay Dutt in the biopic. "I thought Ranveer had the flamboyance, the emotional depth as well as the ability to change himself completely to play Sanjay Dutt. But Raju was adamant that Ranbir would be perfect," Chopra had said.
But after working with Ranbir, he realised that he had to eat his words.
When Ranbir, who is currently busy with the promotions of Sanju, was asked about Chopra's comment, the 35-year-old actor said that he was clueless about it.

The trailer for Soorma is out. Based on the life and times of hockey player Sandeep Singh, Diljit Dosanjh plays the lead role. The story chronicles the life and struggle of Sandeep becoming national champion but due to a tragic accident, he gets paralyzed and bounces back through sheer determination and spirit.

According to reports, the first schedule of the film is two months long. Simmba directed by Rohit Shetty, is the remake of the Telugu film, Temper. The film revolves around a corrupt police officer who takes on a local goon.
Sara Ali Khan is the female lead in the film, and is simultaneously shooting for Simmba as well as Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath.

Finally the shooting of #RohitShetty directorial #Simmba, starring #RanveerSingh and #SaraAliKhan kick-started in Hyderabad today and the makers of the film shares the first look picture from the sets!
The official handle of Drama Production just shared a candid first day picture from the film. Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan are seen in their movie avatars along with Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar.

The movie Simmba is a remake of Telugu film, The Temper and the leading pair, Sara and Ranveer have kick-started the start to finish schedule of the cop comedy in Hyderabad today.
The team will shoot at Ramoji Film City initially, post which the two month long, start to end schedule will move to a few other locations across India. Apart from Ranveer and Sara, the ensemble cast also features Sonu Sood and Ashutosh Rana too.
Buzz is that Ajay Devgn is expected to make a special appearance in Simmba too and it can become a stepping stone towards a Singham – Simmba crossover franchise, which would be a first of its kind for Bollywood.

Ranveer Singh's disheartened by grandmother's demise
Actor #RanveerSingh's grandmother who had been sick for quite some time passed away on Monday.
Padmaavat actor postponed his events in the wake of his grandmother's demise. The actor was to attend a press conference with Switzerland Tourism in Mumbai.
Ranveer reportedly mentioned how close he was to his grandmother in various interviews. No official statement has been made on the actor's behalf.

Celebs congratulate champions Chennai Super Kings for IPL victory
Bollywood celebrities like #AnilKapoor and #RanveerSingh have congratulated Chennai Super Kings #CSK for winning Indian Premier League #IPL2018. The team has lifted the title for the third time.
CSK beat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets in the final at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. CSK had previously won in 2010 and 2011.
Chennai piled up 181/2 in 18.3 overs against Sunrisers' 178/6 in 20 overs.

#RanveerSingh, who will lend his voice to the Hindi version of #RyanReynolds' Hollywood film #Deadpool2 said Foul Hindi language is fulfilling and rewarding.
Ranveer on Monday tweeted "Astonishing how effectively I've managed to out-crass my Canadian counterpart Ryan Reynolds. Never realised how fulfilling and rewarding foul Hindi language can be! 'Deadpool 2',"
Reynolds, who is popular for his witty tweets and replies on social media, replied: "Well if I tried to curse in Hindi, pretty sure there would be an international incident."
Ranveer then told Reynolds he has been a fan of his work.
"I'm a fan since 'Two Guys A Girl And A Pizza Place' You've always inspired me. I even tried being Van Wilder for a phase in College Indiana University, but I was definitely a Taj (played by Kal Penn)," Ranveer wrote.
"Deadpool" tells the story of an anti-superhero who is known to be the first to be aware of the 4th wall. Based on Marvel Comics, it is the original story of a former Special Forces operative who turns into a mercenary.
