Actor Arjun Rampal dropped the new song on his social media profile. He wrote, “A voice, a message, an emotion, #MainZindaHoon is a song from a shaheed soldier to every Indian. The new track is crooned by Sonu Nigam, gives a little sneak peek into the feelings and mental state of a soldier, who is guarding over borders so that we can live peacefully. The song is an emotional message from every martyred soldier to his countryman and family.

The trailer for the film will be out tomorrow, on 2nd August 2018.

Platan is helmed by JP Dutta—known for directing, producing and writing movies such as Border, Refugee, LOC Kargil, and Umrao Jaan, the movie stars Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Choudhary, Harshvardhan Rane, Siddhanth Kapoor and uv Sinha will also be seen in the movie.

Thespian Amitabh Bachchan took to his social media account and shared pictures of Hima Das and wished her. He wrote, “CONGRATULATIONS…#HimaDas, the first Indian Women to win a GOLD in World Athletic track event EVER! INDIA is proud of you... you have given us reason to hold up our heads HIGH! JAI HIND!!”

Farhan Akhtar, who played the role of Indian sprinter Milkha Singh on silver screen, also expressed his happiness. He wrote, “Congratulations #HimaDas…400 meter winner in world Under-20 championships…proud moment. It’s amazing that it coincides with the 5 year anniversary of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag & Milkha-ji’s biggest dream was to witness an Indian athlete win Gold in track & field”

The couple announced their separation in a joint statement to Bombay Times.

While speculations about their separation have been rife for some time, this is the first time that the couple has spoken about it in public. 

"After a 20-year-long beautiful journey filled with love and beautiful memories, we would like to share, that all journeys have different paths. We feel that it is time for us to move on to different destinations henceforth.We have always been solid when it has come to us, we will continue to be solid for each other and our loved ones, as we embark upon a new journey,"the statement said. 

"Both of us being extremely private people feel strange to be making this statement, but such are the circumstances of our lives. Where the truth can get distorted and lost. We are a family, our love for each other is forever intact and we shall always be there for one another and most importantly, for our children Mahikaa and Myra. We would therefore appreciate our privacy through this time. Thank all for their support. Relationships can end, but love lives on. We won’t be commenting on this any further," the statement further added.

Arjun Rampal, who has had his fair share of flops and hits in his career, says from outside it might look easy, but it is not. Talking about fact and reality of film Industry, he said, “People from outside think it is all easy, you know, sit in AC van, put on good clothes and give a shot, it might look easy but it is not that easy. I think, in every profession, you have to work really hard, you have to learn about the profession, you have to better your skill and talent, and bring it to the forefront”

“How you can challenging yourself and surprise the audience, your understanding of the box-office, audience, and budgeting of the film. Considering all these factors, it is not as easy as it looks. It is a very tough job because when you find success, you get a lot of applause and appreciation, but when you don’t find success; you get a beat-down and criticism”

Further adding, Arjun said, “So that is why I think it is not as glamorous, you have to be really disciplined to be part of this industry”

Rampal's next scheduled summer release of 2018 is JP Dutta's war film "Paltan" based on the Indo-Sinian war of 1962 in which he will be seen in an ensemble cast alongside Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Choudhry, Jackie Shroff.

On the first day of the gala, organised by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), Bal, known for his intricate designs with lotus and peacock motifs, surprised all with his new patented motif - cock.

The show started with male and female models walking in white coloured voluminous gowns with long jackets, saris and bandhgala with fitted bottoms across rooms of the revamped Bikaner House here on Monday.

The couture pieces, mostly woven into gold and silver threads, then took a colourful turn with outfits in colours like green, maroon and blue. The Swarovski crystals added shine to the opulent range, which was about Mughal era dressing.

One front row guest even shouted: "Thank God for colours."

The ruler and cock motif were also appreciated by the fashionistas.

Without revealing the details of the new motif, Bal's spokesperson had earlier told IANS that it would be "witty and charming".

The professional models soon gave way to Bal's friends, including FDCI President Sunil Sethi, who proudly wore a white outfit with the cock motif.

"I was ecstatic. I always thought that it would be difficult to walk on the ramp. But I didn't need to do much. I just wore Rohit's beautiful clothes. I am so glad to be part of this historic opening show of ICW," Sethi told after the show.

"Always wanted to do a great war film. Play a true soldier. As that is a backdrop I grew up in. JP sir's 'Paltan' promises to be all of the above. I am so charged up to be a part of it as I believe I couldn't be in better hands," Arjun said in a statement.

According to sources "Paltan" will boast of an exciting ensemble star cast. 

Produced by JP Films and directed by Dutta, the film will go on the floors later this year, and is scheduled for a summer 2018 release.

Initiated by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai and Bhamla Foundation, the celebrities planted 1,000 trees and pledged to plant more.

Arjun Rampal who is associated with the cause for quite a few years told the media: "It is quite alarming how global warming is affecting the climate and environment, so we have to take a stand to protect the earth. It is our responsibility."

Designer Manish Malhotra said: "I think Asif Bhamla of Bhamla Foundation is doing a great job and I support the cause. Apart from our profession, I think we should pay attention to the environment because this is where we are living."
