The #Enchanted_Valley_Carnival has gone cashless for all payments, making life easier for its guests, says a top official of the extravaganza.
Devraj Sanyal, Managing Director and CEO of Universal Music Group South Asia, spoke about the arrangements of the festival and said: "I can say that this is a festival where we are celebrating cashless economy. We have to upgrade ourselves with technology."
They are using micro-monitoring.
"Every time they (guests) make a payment, we are gathering the data of every guest -- name, timing, how many drinks he/she bought, etc. Next year we are to invite all those people with special offer and discount. So, that will be a win-win situation for both," Sanyal added.
The two-day musical gala, sponsored by Absolut, started on Saturday, with an array of electrifying performance by names like Dutch DJ Blasterjaxx, American singer songwriter Flo Rida, Bollywood sensation Farhan Akhtar and others like Rishi Rich, Juggy D, Arjun Kanunjo to desi rapper Badshah.
Keeping the preference of the listeners in mind, the performances are designed for five different stages -- Cosmos, Terra, Akva, Pyro and Aero for different genres.
Asked about the reason behind the inclusion of Hindi film music, Sanyal said: "One of the reason we included Bollywood musicians this year is to target a wider audience. In India, you cannot do without Bollywood songs, can you? It also widens the horizon and makes it multi-genre music festival in true sense."
