I am very happy showing sex on screen says Ekta Kapoor
Filmmaker and producer #EktaKapoor says she is happy showing sex and there is nothing wrong with it. She believes the problem should only be with nonconsensual sex and #sexualcrime.
Kapoor interacted with media at the launch of Alt Balaji show 'Apharan' alongside 'Naagin 3'. Present were actors, Arunoday Singh, Mahie Gill, Pearl V Puri, and Surbhi Jyoti.
Ekta has been giving the trendsetting shows to the Indian Television since early 2000 but the maker has also been criticized for promoting sexual content and superstition.
When asked to comment on the same, she said, "I actually believe that I am very happy showing sex. There is no problem with sex and we should not have one. The problem with our country is our teeth for eating are different and the ones we show while smiling are different. We should have a problem with non consensual sex and sexual crime.
As far as superstition goes, Naagin is fantasy show which is great. I mean, I loved Harry Potter and Game of Thrones. We don't match them in budgets because our's is 1/100th of theirs. The day we will get budgets like that we will match up in that also. But we more than make-up in our storyline which is why Naagin is such a big hit."

Broken is About Love That Heal The Heart Says Ekta Kapoor
The movie mogul, producer #EktaKapoor just released the first look poster of #Broken, a series on #ALTBalaji, and wrote, it is about love that heals the heart not break it.
Ekta Kapoor took to her social media profile and shared a candid tweet, talking about the forthcoming web-series Broken on ALT Balaji. She wrote, “Once in a life time...A love happens that makes u love yourself! Makes u rise in love...helps u recover ur tattered self esteem n helps u love m find yourself! #Broken is about that love that heals d heart not breaks it! It’s even more special if it finds u when ur #BROKEN!”
Broken but Beautiful is a beautiful story dealing with heartbreaks and love, streaming soon on ALTBalaji. The series features Vikrant Massey and Harleen Sethi in the lead roles.
Ekta Kapoor captioned the poster, “Sometimes, a broken piece of heart is all that's needed to mend the other broken heart. #BrokenButBeautiful streaming soon on ALTBalaji. #ALTBalajiOriginal @ektaravikapoor @Masseysahib @1harleenSethi @simrankmundi @Saritatanwar @Reshunath @jitin0804”
The series is written by Reshu Nath of “Bose: Dead/Alive” fame, Broken see Vikrant Massey romance Harleen Sethi, who is set to make her web-series debut with the venture.

Ekta Kapoor on why she was blushing in the Kasautii Zindagii Kay promo with Shah Rukh Khan
#EktaKapoor who is gearing up for the comeback of her hit series #KasautiiZindagiiKay explains why she was blushing when next to #ShahRukhKhan.
Ekta said she has been asked his question plenty of time and now wants to set the record straight. Tweeting on Thursday she wrote, "A lot of ppl asked me why I was blushing! In the Kasautii Zindagii Kay promo that aired on television and on other social media channels, SRK can be seen praising the filmmaker and producer while he introduces the next generation characters of hit series.
Ekta recently announced a new project titled, 'Jabariya Jodi' starring Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra.

Laila Majnu may not be the biggest hit of the year but is the must satisfying film I've made: Ekta Kapoor
#EktaKapoor gearing up for #LailaMajnu said it may not be the biggest hit of the year but, it is the must satisfying film she made.
Ekta interacted with media along side co producer Imtiaz Ali, director Sajid Ali and the film's cast at the trailer launch of her upcoming film 'Laila Majnu' on Tuesday.
When talking about casting newcomers in the film Ekta said, she does not want to burden the cast. "Many films have been released with star kids but these don't have that burden on them. People should like the film that is good enough. It may not be the biggest hit of the year but it is the most satisfying film I have made"

Ekta Kapoor and Imtiaz Ali join hands for Laila Majnu

The actors are debutants who don't belong to bif filmy families. Someone who thinks from their head and not heart i wonder how they would like this film."

Kangana and Rajkummar wrap up 'Mental Hai Kya'
#MentalHaiKya producer #EktaKapoor on Monday announced the film's wrap in London.
Ekta tweeted a photograph of Kangana and Rajkummar posing on London street for the camera. She captioned the image, "And it's a wrap! Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao pose for 'Mental Hai Kya' after completing the shooting schedule in London,"
After 'Queen' in 2013 Rajkummar and Kangana will be seen together on screen for the second time. The film will also star, 'Sonu ki Titu ki Sweet' star Nushrat Bharucha

You have pushed boundaries and the envelope: Karan Johar to Ekta Kapoor
Filmmaker #KaranJohar celebrated the release of #VeereDiWedding, and said Ekta has pushed boundaries with the film.
The director. along with other celebrities and the film's cast and crew attended the special screening on 'Veere di Wedding' on Wednesday
Johar on twitter praised the film and tweet to Ekta , "To my beautiful and close friend @ektaravikapoor ! Kudos ! With @altbalaji you have pushed boundaries and the envelope !! And with #VeereyDiWedding you have torn the envelope! May the force of content always be with you!"
Ekta Kapoor who is producing the film later responded to the tweet, " Iv learnt from d best! U continue to inspire!!! N we can hoook up n ‘ cook’ up a new envelope if ur ‘ raazi’"
While Ekta and Kareena were missing, Veere di Wedding actors Swara Bhaskar, Sikha Talsania, Sonam Kapoor. and producer Rhea Kapoor was present at the screening. Sonam's father, Anil Kapoor, husband Anand Ahuja, uncle Boney Kapoor and sister Khushi and Jhanvi Kapoor were also present at the show.

Obsessed With Veere Di Wedding Story – Kareena Kapoor Khan
#KareenaKapoorKhan along with entire cast and crew of the film graced the music launch of #VeereDiWedding here in Mumbai. During media interaction, Kareena Kapoor shared her reason for doing the film stated she was obsessed with the story for the film.
Talking about the film, Kareena said, “ I think the story is something I got completely obsessed by and I thought it was really cool. And I think who better than this entire team, to put this film together. So I think this was the reason I wanted to do Veere Di Wedding. And as far as my character, Kalindi is concerned, I think she is a really cool character and there is a reason why she is commitment phobic, which we will be seen in the film”
Further adding about her character, she said, “She (character) is not commitment-phobic that made me picked up the role. I think what made me take up this part, for me, as a commercial mainstream actor, who is always used to work with mainstream actors, be it Shahrukh Khan or Salman Khan. For me, it was very different to be part of a film with four girls”
Kareena Kapoor is known for working with A-list actors in Bollywood, but this time around she is paired opposite TVC actor Sumeet Vyas.
Sharing her funniest memories on the sets, actor Kareena said, “I think it would be throwing Sumeet Vyas off the moon in the film. I think that was quite funny because I have never done that in my career. I never had the opportunity to throw a hero off from a moon. So thank you, everyone, for giving me this chance, I am sure it will go down in history”
As a businesswoman, I am very sure about 'Veere Di wedding': Ekta Kapoor
Filmmaker and producer #EktaKapoor said that as a businesswomen she is sure of the #VeereDiWedding success.
Ekta Kapoor along side producers Reha Kapoor and star of the film, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, and Shikha Talsania were present at the music launch of the film on Tuesday.
Ekta who is very particular about the scripts she chooses to work on was asked how did she feel about the film and its possible success, she said, "As a businesswoman, I am very sure about this film. I love the script I picked it up at the when I was at the lowest in my career. I trust the producers. We have 4 hot steller actresses in it and I have always believed that when I have a film which is not so successful on paper it has become super successful even before release.
I was told Dirty picture will be a flop. they said who can I have Vidya Balan playing an item number girl and that film got sold before and the same way the movie has almost covered its costs and we are looking at a clean run. So I am a happy producer."
Since the release of the film's trailer, the filmmakers began a hashtag campaign on social media saying Veere the Weddign is not a Chick Flick. '#IAmNotAChickFlick.
When asked the reason behind using the hashtag producer Rhea Kapoor said, "The #IAmNotAChickFlick came up because everywhere we went we were told, 'it's fun looks like a chick flick' and all I could think about was why is 'Charlie's Angels' a chick flick and 'Rush hour' an action comedy. Why is my entire gender in one genre? All films that have women init are in one genre and 'Veere Di Wedding' is so much more than one thing. It's more than a comedy and a drama. It's life and fun, don't think it can be out in a box. that's what it is a revolt against labels, #IAmNotAChickFlick ."
When talking about what is special about the film lead by four female actors, Swara Bhaskar, "It has been 105 years to our industry and first time mainstream Bollywood is making such an Hindi film in which has the life story of four girls who are friends and nobody is falling in love with the same guy, and that is what is special about the film."

Lost confidence after films flopped, says Ekta Kapoor
#Ekta_Kapoor, who celebrated the success of her latest production #Half_Girlfriend, says at one point she had lost confidence in herself after her films flopped one after another. And because of that, she was initially not sure about producing "Half Girlfriend".
"With my production house, I lost confidence on myself when I gave five flop films in a row. My last hit film was with Mohit Suri in 2014 ('Ek Villain'). There was a time when I wasn't even sure whether I want to continue making films or not, but God has been kind, prayers have worked and film has done well," Ekta said at the success party here on Friday night.
"I would like to thank each of my team members for their hard work for this film," Ekta added, appreciating the efforts of director Mohit Suri and lead actors Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.
Talking about negative reviews from the critics for "Half Girlfriend", Ekta said: "When my TV soap 'Naagin' was launched, during that time, there were 500 stories that how this soap is the reason to malign creativity and entertainment factor on television.
"With this film also, critics felt that 'Half Girlfriend' is a melodrama but I am glad that masses accepted the film. More than money, I think acceptance from the audience is the biggest thing which I haven't experienced in the last three years."
