Ajay Devgn Bags Best Foreign Actor Award in China For Raid

#AjayDevgn won critical acclaim and made box-office history with his Income Tax-officer avatar in #Raid, and now the movie has bagged the Best Foreign Actor Award at China’s 27th Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival.

T-series honcho Bhushan Kumar shared the news with his fans on his social media profile. He wrote, “Congratulations @ajaydevgn!!! So happy to see our film #Raid winning hearts at China’s 27th Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival. Here's to more such achievements in future!”

Raid is a 2018 crime-action film written by Ritesh Shah and directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. It features Ajay Devgn, Ileana D'Cruz and Saurabh Shukla.

The film is inspired by the real life income-tax raid conducted by the officers of the Income Tax Department under the leadership of a courageous and upright Indian Revenue Service officer in the 1980s. It was released worldwide on 16 March 2018, and was met with positive reviews from critics.

On the work front, Ajay Devgn is currently busy with back to back several projects, such as Total Dhamaal, De De Pyaar De, Turram Khan, Taanaji - The Unsung Warrior and football based biopic.

Taanaji - The film is locked in for a release on 25 September 2019 and produced by the Ajay Devgn himself at a budget of Rs 150 crore. It relies on heavy VFX work and the story revolves around the life of Tanaji Malusare, a Koli military leader in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s army.
Director Om Raut is expected to depict Tanaji's heroic fight in the Battle of Sinhagad in 1670 AD. The film also features Saif Ali Khan in the lead role.

It is also reported that Kajol and Ajay Devgn might collaborate on the project after a long gap of nine years.
