The fourth edition of India Beach Fashion Week #IBFW_2017 saw a magnificent grand finale, when ace couturier #Suneet_Varma's presented his latest collection here.
A large number of fashionistas on Wednesday night attended the show, which presented 32 looks inspired from Hollywood glamour, the sensational Studio 54 music and youthful dressing.
Walking on old Hindi numbers like "Tum jo mil gaye ho" and "Babuji dheere chalna", 32 models flaunted Varma's designs, which included lehengas, gowns, pants, kurtas and pallazzos.
Talking about his collection, Varma told: "The collection features a range of gowns, from formal evening shapes to light, flirty dresses in shaded chiffons and light weight silk organza. The structured gowns are voluminous and made in silk taffeta and knits to create asymmetrical drapes that are close to the body."
The colour pallet ranged from browns, blues to vermilion red and sienna.
Asked about the colours and the work, he said: "For the first time using very bold shades...I have worked on this range creating large skirts with multi coloured sequin embroideries in contemporary artworks and placements. The formal evening gowns have trails and placements of hand embroidered lace."
The highlight of the show was the use of jewellery. The models were seen flaunting elaborate headgear and big earrings.
Varma, who looked dapper in his signature classic black kurta and pyjama, was cheered by his husband Rahul Varma, who graced the first row at the event.
