The three-day bridal exhibition commenced here with the display of creations by Indian fashion industry's big names like Anita Dongre, Manish Malhotra, Tarun Tahiliani and Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

Held in partnership with the Taj Group, the bridal extravaganza is taking place at the Taj Palace hotel here. The 'By invitation only' luxury fair has got 50 brands of the bridal world under one roof.

The corridors of the hotel were bustling with young women who seemed to be picking outfits for a function, newly-married women, a group of men following their wives and mothers with their daughters.
While there were collections of several popular fashion designers, Malhotra, Dongre and Mukherjee seemed to be on demand.

Other participating designers include names like Gaurav Gupta, Manish Arora, Payal Singhal, Tarun Tahiliani and Varun Bahl. There was a Pakistani touch to the event as well. Though not many buyers were seen at the stall of Pakistani designer Misha Lakhani, who is presenting her collection in India for the first time, one customer told that she lost track of time as she got carried away with the collection.

Curated by Vogue India, the Vogue Wedding Show in partnership with the Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces, also brought forward some of the finest jewellery options with brands like Amrapali, Hazoorilal by Sandeep Narang, Diacolor - Fine Contemporary Jewels and Kishandas & Co. for Sabyasachi.

Sandeep Narang, Managing Director and chief designer of the brand, told: “The demand is great. Everyone is looking for something for their wedding with coloured stones. For the collection that we have on display, we have used a lot of emeralds, there are polki and diamond necklaces too.”

Want to stick to your favourite seven-yard wonder? Then head to 'Saree Pavilion' -- a dedicated space which houses saris from different regions of the country.

In fact, some brands have already started working on the collection for the next edition of the Vogue Wedding Show.

Bhuvan Ahuja, director retail of Ahujasons, which specialises in shawls, stoles and scarves, said: “We get good leads and good response from the event. Every year we launch a new collection at the Vogue Wedding Show and we have already started the process for the collection for the next Vogue Wedding Show.”

Ahujasons showcased their Collector's Edition - Rang Mahal, Sayambar and Darbaar.

For gifting ideas and other wedding related facilities, there were brands like Ravish Kapoor Innovative Invitations, Shingora, BVLGARI, Royce' Chocolate and Tea Culture Of The World.
