Actor #AvinashTiwary, who is gearing up for the release of his forthcoming film #LailaMajnu has said that the iconic love story of Laila Majnu is still very relevant in today’s time.

Avinash Tiwary was interacting with media to promote ‘Laila Majnu’ along with Tripti Dimri on Wednesday in Mumbai.

When asked Avinash how their film will be different from other production which was based on story of Laila Majnu, he said,  “People often think that Laila Majnu is desi version of Romeo and Juliet but Romeo and Juliet was William Shakespeare’s story and the story of Laila Majnu was written much earlier. People are still following story of Laila Majnu over the years and I think in today’s time, their story is really relevant where every individual is searching for his or her soul mate and that is what we are bringing back through this film. I think the soul of a classical tale has been kept as it is in the film but we have contemporize it for today’s audience will enjoy the film while watching it.”

When asked Avinash whether he is feeling any kind of pressure as a newcomer to deliver success through this film, “I always looked up to be part of a good film and to play a good character. I think fortunately or unfortunately, people don’t know the story of Laila Majnu but they have heard names of these characters over the years so, this was an opportunity for us to tell this story for today’s generation. I think character of Majnu has many layers that lot of senior actors would find little bit of envy within that they haven’t got opportunity to play it. I think the way Imtiaz (Ali) sir has written and presented it and the way Sajid (Ali) has directed it is really fresh in its own way.”

Ekta interacted with media along side co producer Imtiaz Ali, director Sajid Ali and the film's cast at the trailer launch of her upcoming film 'Laila Majnu' on Tuesday.

When talking about casting newcomers in the film Ekta said, she does not want to burden the cast. "Many films have been released with star kids but these don't have that burden on them. People should like the film that is good enough. It may not be the biggest hit of the year but it is the most satisfying film I have made"

Ekta wrote, "If you haven’t loved, you haven’t lived! Here’s Imtiaz Ali’s message to those who plan to watch #LailaMajnu. Trailer Out Tomorrow! #LailaMajnuTalesByImtiazAli #ImtiazAli @pipreety #SajidAli @RuchikaaKapoor #PIFilms @balajimotionpic #PyaarMeinPagal"

The minute long video has Imtiaz talking about why he thinks audience should watch the romance drama ' Laila Majnu'. The title of the video is  'Laila Majnu - Tales by Imtiaz Ali', "Sometimes I wonder why would people watch this film, there are no big stars in the film. The actors are debutants who don't belong to bif filmy families. Someone who thinks from their head and not heart i wonder how they would like this film."
