Shahid Kapoor interacted with media at the trailer launch of the forthcoming film, 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' along side director Shree Narayan Singh, producer Bhushan Kumar and co actors Divyendu Sharma and Shraddha Kapoor. 

Shahid's younger brother Ishaan had a success party for the success of his film Dhadak, when asked why Shahid was missing from film promotions and the party he said, "Today in the morning I texted him after seeing photos of the success party. I wrote, 'thanks for letting me know. Then he said, 'No bro I was not sure if i want to call anybody' (laughs). But having said that Ishaan is such a good actor that he does not need my support. He will do just fine without me."

Talking about his co stars Divyendu Sharma who plays the friend, Shahid said, "I think he is the lead hero of the film because everything that happens is because of him."

When asked about Yami's missing presence he informed that the actress has been sick and "She plays a very important role in the film and we surely miss having her here with us."

The film's trailer showed the film is based in Uttarakhand and uses a very regional dialect different from Hindi when asked how they prepared for it Shahid said, "We are all very aware of the dialect and we did a lot of readings with each other. It was very difficult to get hold of it. The thing about this language you say everything in the opposite order. It took a lot of time for us to learn it but I think that is the best thing of the film. It makes the film fresh and relatable."

Dhadak one of the most anticipated Dharma production of 2018 released this friday. Ever since it's inception the film had a lot of buzz around it, due to the debutant Janhvi and Ishaan and the success of the original film.

The film collected ₹8.71 crores on it's first day at the box-office. This opening day collection of Dhadak is highest for a film lead by fresh faces, beating Student of the Year, which collected approximately ₹ 8 crore on it's first day. 

Ishaan was interacting with media at the promotional interview of 'Dhadak' along with her co-actress Janhvi Kapoor on Thursday in Mumbai.

Ishaan said his elder brother Shahid Kapoor inspires him and that he "always looks up to him"."He is my elder brother. I have learned a lot from him even before he came into films. He has inspired me on a personal level and as an actor, I think he has done impressive work by proving himself time and again,"

When asked about Shahid's reaction to the trailer of his film, Ishaan said: "He hasn't watched the film yet. He was really happy after watching the trailer. He told me it was all good and positive and didn't find any reason to criticize it."

Talking about the debut film, Dhadak which is an upcoming romantic-drama directed by Shashank Khaitan, produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studio. The film is a remake of the 2016 Marathi language film Sairat.

The story is based on the 2016 Marathi language film Sairat, however, this version will be set in Rajasthan. This love story explores how the protagonists deal with issues like differences between castes and honor killings.

Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter were interacting with media when they visited local radio station to promote ‘Dhadak’ on Thursday in Mumbai.

Talking about storyline of ‘Dhadak’, Janhvi said, “Our film is based on a social issue. This film will give really strong social message which is why I feel everyone should watch his film”

Sharing her feeling about audience response to recently released song ‘Zingaat’ from ‘Dhadak’, she said, “I am feeling really happy that we have received positive response for the song. I understand that most people are attached with Marathi ‘Zingaat’ song but this song is very important in terms of the storyline and characters of the film.  We had so much fun for shooting that song so, I hope people will enjoy it while watching on big screen”

When asked Janhvi what was her father Boney Kapoor’s reaction when he first watched ‘Zingaat’ song, she said, “He is very happy with the response for this song. He actually updates me that the song is trending and it has got large amount of views on various digital and social media platforms”

Directed by Shashank Khaitan as 'Dhadak' based in Udaipur is an official remake of Nagraj Manjule's Marathi blockbuster 'Sairat'. When asked what he feels when comparison are drawn between 'Sairat' and 'Dhadak', and between the common factor of both the film -- 'Zingaat' song--, he said, "Comparisons are bound to happen with 'Sairat' because our film is official adaptation of that film.

The song is adapted and rehashed from the original film Sairaat, the maker has kept the title same, but this new song is whole lot peppier and upbeat than the original and with smashing dance routine from Ishaan and Janhvi, the song will climb the chartbuster in no time!
