A decade after making her directorial debut with the National Award-winning family drama Little Zizou, internationally acclaimed screenwriter Sooni Taraporevala is returning to direction with Ballet Boys.

The official handle of Roy Kapur Films confirmed the news on social media. It said, “We are excited to bring you the awe-inspiring story of India's very own Ballet Boys! @soonitara #SiddharthRoyKapur #BalletBoys”

The film recounts the inspiring true-life journey of two Mumbai boys, Amiruddin Shah and Manish Chauhan, who with the help of their Israeli-American mentor Yehuda Maor and the support of their families, fought the odds to get into London’s Royal Ballet School and the Oregon Ballet Theatre.

Priyanka who is also a co producer to the project took to social media sharing her excitement on Wednesday. 

She wrote. "So excited about today..Some stories just need to be told. In the spirit of Aisha Chaudhary&her incredible parents Aditi&Niren we bring you our super special project #TheSkyIsPink. Going on floors today!@RSVPMovies @roykapurfilms @FarOutAkhtar #ShonaliBose @ZairaWasimmm" 

The film, which is based on a true life story, evolves around Aisha Chaudhary, who became a motivational speaker after being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 13. 

Priyanka earlier in a statement said "I look forward to diving into this film…It's very special to me. As soon I read it, I knew I had to be a part of telling this story."

The actress shared the pictures on her social media. She captioned it, “I’m so excited and happy about today. Some stories just need to be told. In the spirit of Aisha Chaudhry and her incredible parents Aditi and Niren we bring you our tentatively titled super special project The Sky is Pink. Going on floors today. God Speed.”

The Sky Is Pink is reportedly based on the life of late motivational speaker and author Aisha Chaudhary, who was born with immunodeficiency disorder. The film goes on floors today!

Farhan and Priyanka have earlier co-starred in Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do, and now will soon be seen in Margarita, With A Straw director Shonali Bose's The Sky Is Pink.

The official social media handle of Roy Kapur Films shared a sneak-peak video of actors prepping for the role. They captioned it, “Lights, Camera, Action! Here's a sneak peek of what's to come. @priyankachopra @faroutakhtar @ZairaWasimmm #ShonaliBose @rsvpmovies #RKFProduction1.”

The Sky Is Pink revolves around Aisha Chaudhary, who became a motivational speaker after being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 13.

The actress recently attended Akash Ambani and Sholka Mehta's engagement bash in Mumbai with Nick Jonas and has now begun prepping for the role. 

Priyanka shared a photograph of the film's draft on her Instagram story and captioned it: "And it begins... Prep. Hindi movie."  The draft also mentioned that the film is written by Shonali Bose.
