Akshay Kumar Shares Picture with Marathi Teacher On Maharashtra Day

Superstar #AkshayKumar marks the #MaharashtraDay extra special by sharing a picture of his Marathi Teacher on social media.

Akshay Kumar is quintessential Punjabi boy, but since the actor lives in Mumbai, he has tried to learn the Marathi Language. On occasions, we have witnessed him interact with fans and media in Marathi and now shares a picture with his teacher, who is responsible for his “Manageable Marathi” on Maharashtra Day.

Akshay Kumar captioned the picture, “Had a chance meeting with the lady responsible for my manageable Marathi...my Marathi teacher from school :) Couldn't have met on a better day. महाराष्ट्र दिनाच्या हार्दिक शुभेच्छा #MaharashtraDay”

As the world celebrates International Labour Day, in India, May 1st also marks Maharashtra Day or Maharashtra Diwas. This is the day when the state of Maharashtra came into existence. It was on this day in 1960 when the state was formed on linguistic grounds.

On the work front, Akshay Kumar is geared up with an interesting line-up of work. He will soon be seen in Gold, 2.0, Mogul, Kesari and Housefull 4.

Kesari is based on the Battle of Saragarhi. The actor will be seen playing the role of a military commander of 21 Sikh soldiers named Havaldar Ishar Singh who fought against thousands of Afghani invaders.
Gold is an upcoming historical period sports drama film directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the Excel Entertainment banner. It also stars Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Vineet Kumar Singh, Amit Sadh, Sunny Kaushal. It is a fictional story set on the backdrop of true incidents about India winning its first gold medal in hockey as a free nation in the 1948 Summer Olympics.
