Acting Power House, #AdilHussain unveils the poster along with release date of his cross-border drama #Maati on social media.
“English Vinglish” Actor Adil shared the poster on his Twitter profile. He captioned it, “#Maati releases on the 13th July In the lead @paoli_d and me. Directed by #LeenaGanguli and #SaibalBanarjee”
The film is helmed by Tollywood scriptwriter Leena Ganguly and documentary maker Saibal Banerjee, the film, Maati, stars Adil Hussain and Paoli in the lead.
Actress Paoli also shared the poster. She captioned it, “A story in search of roots, a story that goes beyond borders!Thrilled to announce that my upcoming film #Maati is all set for its theatrical release this 13th July Directed by #LeenaGangopadhyay and @saibalbnrj5 @_AdilHussain @arkaganguly”
The movie narrates the journey of Dam’s Meghla, who goes back to her ancestral home in Dhaka years after her grandmother’s death. The Partition of 1947, which led to widespread displacement and migration, emerges as a theme in Meghla’s quest to know her roots.
Maati also stars Shankar Chakroborty, Laboni Sarkar and Chandan Sen. The film is currently slated for 13th July 2018 release.
