Priyanka Chopra - I am proud of Mary Kom, My Friend and India’s Pride

India boxer MC Mary Kom added yet another chapter to her storied career by winning gold in women's 45-48 kg category at the ongoing Commonwealth Games, 2018 in Gold Coast, Australia.

Priyanka Chopra who has played the titular role in biopic based on Mary Kom is proud of the boxer. She just took to her social media account and praised her. She wrote, “I’m sooooo proud of my friend and India’s pride @MangteC you are and always will be my champion! Congratulations!! Yay!”

The filmmaker Omung Kumar, who directed the biopic based on the female boxer, also congratulated her on social media. He wrote, “Congratulations @MangteC for winning GOLD at #CWG2018 You were born to break records and create new history. Very very Proud.”

Veteran Actor Anil Kapoor also shared congratulation message for the boxer. He wrote, “Congratulations to our legend @MangteC on the Gold. Inspiration to millions! This is what champions are made of! So proud! #CWG2018 #GC2018Boxing.”

Apart from Bollywood celebrities, Indian Master Blaster and former captain Sachin Tendulkar also praised the female boxer. He shared, “Unstoppable!
