#RajkummarRao wants to thank people who thought he deserved a National award.
Rajkummar was present at the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence awards 2018 and won the award for outstanding performance male.
After Newton received the national award some thought Rajkummar himself is more than deserving of A National award for his numerous performances in 2017.When asked to comment on the same the actor said, "I just want to thank those people who think I should have received a national award but I am sure the people who received had performed tremendously."
While talking about Newton's success by receiving the best film National award Rao said, "Newton is a film we all are very proud of and we just received the national award for the film. It's a great feeling to see everyone appreciate a film that we made with honesty and love."
Raj's forthcoming release 'Ometra' was postponed just a few days before its release when asked the reason behind it he said, "We were just waiting for some clearance and now that everything has cleared, 4th May is the release date now."
Rajkummar Rao was last seen in 'Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana' directed by Ratnaa Sinha and co-starring Kriti Kharbanda. The actor is currently busy with films like Fanne Khan, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, and Stree.
