#SonakshiSinha says her forthcoming film #HappyPhirrBhagJayegi has been written as a logical comedy by director #MudassarAziz that has emotions and story.
Sonakshi Sinha and Diana Penty interacted with media for their upcoming film, 'Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi's promotion on Friday.
The film's trailer though shows comedy clips from the film there are also a few serious scenes involved when asked, if she looks at the film as a comedy she said, "I think the speciality of Mudassar Aziz writing a comedy is that it is a wholesome comedy. It isn't mindless but a logical comedy which goes forward with a story and emotions at the right time.
That is what I really loved about it and in this film we got the chance to display both comedy and emotions. I personally love the comedy genre, I love to laugh and make people laugh."
'Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi' is a sequel to the 2016 release 'Happy Bhag Jayegi' starring Diana Penty as Happy. In the sequel Sonakshi joined the cast as another Happy.
When asked Sonakshi if she watched the first film and what was her reaction she said, "I saw the first part and I really loved it, Diana was fantastic in it as Happy and everyone else. I think what audiences loved most about the film was the characters. They were so wonderfully written and edged out. The chemistry between the characters was loved.
And that's what we brought back in this film. We took everything we loved of the previous film here and we added more like we went to China this time, I was new Jassi was new. Otherwise everything else is the same so it was the perfect mix."
Directed and written by Mudassar Aziz, the film stars SOnakshi SInha, Diana Penty, Jimmy Sheirgill, Dipika Kakar, Ali Fazal, Abhay Deol, Jassi Gill, and Aparshakti Khurana with Sonakshi Sinha, added to the cast.
Produced by Colour Yellow Productions and Eros International the multi starrer is scheduled to release on 24th August 2018.
