#KaranJohar praises Debutant Tabrez Noorani's #LoveSonia and calls it the most powerful film he has seen.
The filmmaker took to twitter on Thursday and shared the film's trailer. He wrote, "One of the most powerful films I have seen...about the courage of one 17 year old to rescue her sister ! The first poster of the film came out in late June. The first look poster featured debutant Mrunal Thakur who is playing the title role.
The trailer shows the story of Sonia who leaps into the dark world of sex trade network in search of her elder sister Preeti who was sold by her father.
The film stars also stars, Richa Chadda, Demi Moore, Mark Duplass, Freida Pinto, Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam Kher, Adil Hussain, Rajkummar Rao, Riya Sisodiya and marathi actress Sai Tamhankar.
The film is produced by David Womark, the Academy Award-nominated producer of Life of Pi, David Womark.
