#Kajol’s comeback to the silver screen, #HelicopterEela has got a new release date, which is 12th October due to director #PradeepSarkar’s illness.
Film producer Ajay Devgn decided to change the release date of the film from 7th September to 12th October as the director of the film, Pradeep Sarkar is suffering from dengue.
Sarkar was recently diagnosed with dengue and hospitalized. According to a press release, he was allowed to leave the hospital for a day to direct Amitabh Bachchan’s cameo in the movie, with an ambulance and a doctor on standby on the set. Producers Ajay Devgn and Jayantilal Gada have decided to postpone the release until Sarkar is discharged from the hospital.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the new release date on social media. He wrote, “New release date for #HelicopterEela: 12 Oct 2018... Since director Pradeep Sarkar is diagnosed with dengue, Ajay Devgn has taken a decision to resume work on the film after Sarkar is discharged from hospital... Ajay Devgn and Jayantilal Gada have now shifted the film to 12 Oct.”
Helicopter Eela is an upcoming drama film directed by Pradeep Sarkar. It features Kajol in the lead role as an aspiring singer and single mother and is written by Mitesh Shah and Anand Gandhi. It is based on the Gujarati play Beta, Kaagdo, written by Anand Gandhi.
The film also stars Riddhi Sen, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Neha Dhupia, Shataf Figar, Atul Kulkarni, Mukesh Rishi, and Amitabh Bachchan as a cameo appearance.
It is scheduled for release on 12 October 2018.
