Here comes a big and much-awaited surprise from Eros Now, the company just confirmed #Aankhen2, starring #AmitabhBachchan in the lead role and filmmaker #AneesBazmee at the helm.
The official handle of Eros Now, confirmed the news on social media profile. It said, “Gear up for the new heist-thriller! @ErosIntlPlc & #TarunAgarwal to produce #Aankhen2 starring @SrBachchan. More big names to be announced soon in the ensemble cast, watch this space! Dir. by Anees Bazmee, film to go on floor in 2019 & release in January 2020 @ErosNow.”
The first installment of heist thriller Aankhen was released in 2002, directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the film featured Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Arjun Rampal and Sushmita Sen and it garnered appreciation for its edgy style and interesting plot.
Now Sixteen years later, a sequel has been announced where Amitabh Bachchan will once again play the lead. The forthcoming project will be co-produced by Eros International and Tarun Agarwal.
Big B is also filming ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ with Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh which is set for release in November 2018. He is also part of Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
