Lag Ja Gale is the essence of Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster

Dhulia was present with the cast Jimmy Shergill, Mahi Gill, Chitrangada Singh at the song launch 'Lag Ja Gale' of the upcoming film on Monday.

Talking about choosing the iconic song and the film's resemblance with it, director of the film Tigmanshu Dhulia said, "The films characters are grey but somewhere they are all saying this to each other, ‘Aa Lag Ja Gale'. But if they do or don't you will find out when you watch the film. And that is the essence of ' Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster ' they are plotting and struggling only to find that love.

Another thing is we are very happy with our association with SaReGaMa Music and are thankful that they let us use the song in the film and let us create this version of the song. The song sits well with the film and we all love it so much." he added.

As compared to the golden era of songs, nowadays the songs that come out only survive on beats and are quickly forgotten. When asked to comment on the same Tigmanshu said, "What you are saying is absolutely true nowadays we don't pay more attention to the lyrics of the song but the beats only. Few of us are trying our best to improve cinema whether it is through good performance, story or music.

But if good melodies do come out which does on rare occasion, they become successful. Good melodies will always be there in Hindi cinemas, and we will do our best to bring more good melodies."

‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3’ is the third instalment in the hit series since the first released in 2011. The film has an ensemble star cast of Sanjay Dutt, Jimmy Shergill, Mahi Gill, Chitrangada Singh and Soha Ali Khan.

Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia the film will release on 27th July.
