Bollywood Pays Tribute On this Kargil Vijay Diwas

Kargil Vijay Diwas was named after the success of Operation Vijay. On 26 July 1999, India successfully took command of the high outposts which had been lost to Pakistani intruders.

Actors like Shatrughan Sinha, Preity Zinta, Sidharth Malhotra and Randeep Hooda, took to their social media profiles and paid respect to Indian Armed Forces.

Preity Zinta took to her social media profile and wrote, “Remembering our Hero’s of the Indian Armed Forces today with a big salute  Thank you for your sacrifice & bravery. #respect #bravery #realheroes #sacrifice #kargilvijaydiwas #kargil #pride #jaihind”.

Actor Sidharth Malhotra‏ wrote, “We will never understand the kind of sacrifices our soldiers make to keep the nation safe. 19 years since we won the Kargil War #KargilVijayDiwas #IndianArmy #salute #JaiHind”.

Veteran Actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha also tweeted, “‏Solemnly remember the martyrs today on 'Kargil Vijay Diwas'. Salutes, Respects & Tributes to all our Faujis who are our shield & their sacrifices bring glory to our Armed Forces. God Bless! Jai Hind! #KargilVijayDiwas”.

Actor Randeep Hooda also expressed his emotions on this day. He wrote, “‏Remembering all who laid down their lives in the Kargil War for our freedom and sovereignty #KargilVijayDiwas #Drass Jai Hind”.
