#RanbirKapoor who is currently busy with promotions of biopic #Sanju said his father's reaction to the film's trailer moved him and made him emotional.
Ranbir along with director Rajkumar Hirani, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, and co-star, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala and Vicky Kaushal were present at the trailer.
One day before the trailer release of Sanju, director Raju Hirani screened the trailer for Ranbir's father Rishi Kapoor. The veteran actor then praised his son's performance and swore that he thought it was Sanjay Dutt. When asked Ranbir about his reaction to the trailer he said, "Besides being my father, he is also an actor that I respect. Raju sir had recorded his reaction and sent it to me, I was shooting someplace else.
He never compliments me to my face, not that I expect it and all but to hear such words coming from him was an incredible experience for me. It really moved me and made me emotional. Every father wants their son to do well but my father is very careful that he won't give me a compliment for free. He always reminds us to work harder so this was a wonderful gift that Raju sir and Vidhu Sir had sent me."
In the full-length trailer, we see Sanjay Dutt's character honestly revealing that he had 308 girlfriends in his lifetime when asked Ranbir if he will honestly give out such information to everyone. " I won't allow it, I am not a courageous man enough like Sanju sir to give my life out so openly but my count is smaller than 10 so I don't think a biopic can be made on me."
The Sanjay Dutt biopic titled 'Sanju' is presented by Fox star studios. The film will star Manisha Koirala, Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Paresh Rawal, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Tabu and many more.
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, 'Sanju' will release on 29th June 2018.
