The maker of #SuiDhaaga just confirmed that the film is complete; the leading pair #VarunDhawan and #AnushkaSharma had wrapped up the shooting.
The official social media profile of the film just shared a candid picture of Varun and Anushka and confirmed the wrap up news. It said, “It's a wrap for @AnushkaSharma and @Varun_dvn on #SuiDhaagaMadeInIndia”.
Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma are all set to work together for the first time in Sharat Kataria’s ‘Sui Dhaaga’. The film is based on the ‘Make in India’ campaign launched by the Indian government in 2014. Through this movie, the makers aim at promoting the country’s textile industries.
Working with Varun Dhawan in the film and her experience, Anushka Sharma also tweeted and confirmed the release date of the film. She wrote, “A truly special film by a truly special story-teller, #SharatKataria...Mauji and Mamta are coming to tell their story on Sept 28 at a theatre near you…@SuiDhaagaFilm @Varun_dvn #ShootWrap”.
Varun Dhawan is playing a tailor and part time peon, named Mauji, while Anushka Sharma is playing Mamta an embroiderer. The film celebrates the spirit of self-reliance.
Produced by Maneesh Sharma under the banner of Yash Raj Films- ‘Sui Dhaaga’ is scheduled to release on September 28 this year.
