The maker of #Soorma unveils an awe-inspiring teaser from the film and confirms the trailer release date, the movie stars #DiljitDosanjh, #TaapseePannu and #AngadBedi in pivotal roles.
The official Twitter handle of SPN Productions dropped the teaser along with trailer date confirmation on social media. They captioned it, “He will inspire you, he will motivate you, and stun you with his will power! The trailer of much-awaited sports biopic Soorma, based on Indian hockey player Sandeep Singh will be out on 11th June.
The movie narrates the inspiring story of the veteran, who was paralyzed and used a wheelchair for two years after an accidental gunshot injured him in 2006. Fighting against all odds, Sandeep got back on his feet and made a comeback to international hockey in 2008. India won the 2009 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup under his captaincy and went on to qualify for the 2012 Olympics.
Diljit Dosanjh will be seen playing the titular role of Sandeep Singh, with Taapsee Panu and Angad Bedi also will be seen playing hockey on the screen for the first time.
The movie is directed by Shaad Ali.
