The makers of #Tumbbad are out with the first official trailer of the film and it is brilliant, spooky, creepy and a whole lot more.
The official handle of Colour Yellow Productions dropped the trailer on social media profile. They captioned it, “Goosebumps, cold feet or a sense of mystery, let us know what you feel. #Tumbbad Official Trailer Out Now! @BarveRahi | @s0humshah | @thisisadesh | @ErosNow | @SohumShahFilms | @aanandlrai | @filmivast | @FilmgateSweden”
Directed by Rahi Anil Barve and featuring an ensemble of Sohum Shah, Jyoti Malshe, Dhundhiraj Prabhakar Jogalekar, Anita Date, Deepak Damle, Ronjini Chakraborty and Mohd. Samad, the film is a treasure hunt with elements of supernatural and mystery.
The plot revolves around the consequences when humans build a temple for her first-born. Set in Pune in the 1920s, it revolves around three generations of a Brahmin family.
Tumbbad is premiered in the critics' week section of the 75th Venice International Film Festival, becoming the first Indian film to be screened there. It was also screened at the 2018 Fantastic Fest.
Anand Gandhi serves as the co-writer, executive producer and creative producer of the film. Rai decided to back the film after he saw it in March, 2018.
